Why was Smalling marking Kompany? Surely Kompany is the most dangerous guy at the corners therefore the best/strongest defender i.e. Ferdinand should mark him..

Is Ferdinand any stronger in the air than Smalling. Any difference would be pretty small and tbf, I wouldn't be surprised if Lescott (who Ferdinand was marking) has scored more from set-plays than Kompany has.

The question remains over Park, Hasn't got the legs for it and certainly doesn't have the strength to go toe to toe with Toure.
