Dire first half, we look like a pub team without Rooney.
Really need some sort of creative flair in January (or drive in the midfield area), I don't think Kagawa is going to come good now sadly, no point keeping him.
.
Absolute embarrassment. Worst performance of our premier league history, and there's been some heavy contenders this season alone. Injuries aside, absolutely careless resting certain players in such an important part of the season. Makes next two home games must wins, no other option.
Welcome to management, Rene!
We've had a huge improvement under Rene, apart from today - no question. But resting Riether and Parker today was just silly, even after today they'd have a decent enough rest until new years. Starting Rodallega and Ruiz as well, one back from a longish injury and the other arguably our worst performer of the season. Could have started with Bent (or Kasami) up top and the usual players in midfield. To be fair if resting people for a tough away game ends up being the difference between winning at home and not. Would you prefer losing 2-0 here and dropping points in the next game, or thrashing today, win the next game?
Fulham have been gash away from home for god knows how long, years and years? Busy period, weaker squad, maybe a not particularly fit squad. Still an embarrassing performance but Hull have only conceded 6 goals at home so far this season.
Of course they HAD only scored 9 at home, and they managed to increase that by 67% in this one game..... which certainly isn't great.
It's not like Rene was brought in preseason, he's still in charge of the team he took over which realistically has some decent quality in, but has some serious problems engrained into it that will take more than a few games to overcome, probably a hell of a lot more than a few.
Really that surprised when the manager insists on playing him out wide for 90% of the limited opportunities he gets. Today would have been perfect to play him centrally but yet again he is shafted out wide.
I see Silva picked up a needless late booking to ensure he's suspended for the Swansea game rather than risking one against Chelsea. Classy.
It's not all Kagawa's fault, but that doesn't change anything unfortunately. If Moyes won't use him (properly), why keep him.
