Saints throw away a victory to hang to a draw against a 10 man Stoke.

They really really really need to sort out the defence in January. No good being able to score when you're letting in just as many or more.
 
Refs dont do themselves any favours do they. Some disgraceful decisions today yet again.

There would be no need for comments like the ones made by fergie, mancini and everyone else etc if they did their jobs properly.

Anyway, good win and a performance miles better than the one v Sunderland even if we did concede 3.
 
Villa are away to Swansea on Tuesday, gonna be another difficult game.

Now just hope Arsenal v Newcastle lives up to the the rest of todays games :)

Was a banger :D

Game of two halves from Stoke. I suspected it would be a weird game as we had to make changes to the back four (Shawcross/Cameron out due to suspension) and ultimately that showed as we gifted Soton some goals. Fair play to them for exploiting our make shift defense though!

Second half we battered them. Ridiculous sending off for N'zonzi when had made no contact with the player, and if you review the replay there was no intent. I think clattenberg was claiming stoods up, but his boot came up in the air and then made contact with the ground, so not sure how that constitutes stoods up. A couple more crap decisions with him allowing one of their players to make a save on the line with both hands above his head. No card, no penalty.

All in all though, cracking finish by Jerome. We should have won it at the end with a Crouch header. Fingers crossed the FA rescind zonzis red and we have our defense back for the next game :)

Urgh! Stokes equaliser was a screamer :mad:

Good god they were terrible till 65 mins, should have been 5 up as stoke played like a proper champ team. They then got a lucky goal on the break and we sat back for 3-2. Adkins needs a slap as when we do that we throw games away :(

One hand 2 points dropped but on the other would have given an arm for a draw this morning. They were a lot better when they went down to 10 men as their midfield was rubbish and it made them play around it properly.

Oh well better form for new years day at very least
