Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th December 2012 - 2nd January 2013]

I'm not sure if this is a troll post or not :(

He's an attacking midfielder, just because he scores goals doesn't make him a striker.

MW

He does have a point, Lampard was very much an attacking midfielder behind the striker for a long time and his scoring from this position was very high, he's recently played much more as a central midfielder and as such, his goals have slowed due to the nature of his game changing.

Tummy gets it. I fell into the trap of using FIFA positions there (i.e. CF plays deeper than a striker) so maybe didn't make myself clear. The majority of Lampard's career has been in a sort of number 10/attacking midfielder role with very little defensive responsibility. You can't compare him to people like Scholes who have played as a proper CM in 4-4-2 where you have to be far more balanced.

Andy, you've done a great job of inadvertently highlighting the problem in here though. Instead of asking for clarification of my point, it's straight on the trolling bandwagon when I was trying to just debate something. When I go on the wind up, it's obvious to everyone (apart from Gilly going by the Silva/Mata/Cazorla thread).

Wut, nah I just needed an excuse to use the hammer if you were trolling ;)

Wut, yeah. A poster disagree's with me, he must be a troll.

Back on topic, Queens Park Rangers are terrible. I'm still amazed that Wright-Phillips is playing for a team in the Premiership.
