Indeed.

We still clearly have money to spend, whether we do or not and spend it wisely are different things but we have more hope or league honours than athletico (even though both are like -%).

I'd be worried about Madrid if Ronaldo leaves, he's also better than Di Maria/Callejon.

Lifestyle, weather, culture, league position, money, women, not living in Liverpool/England. Same would go for Germany, and Bayern are a huge club, absolutely HUGE. Liverpool don't have a chance in hell of being as competitive in the champs league as Bayern for if everything went perfectly, 4-5 years.

Athletico are almost certain to be in the champs league next season and have a genuine chance to win the Europa this season, they won it last season, are currently second in the league and have an outside chance of challenging Barca for the title(not that likely but Barca have 2 bad games and it gets pretty close). Liverpool, almost certain to not be in the champs league next year, almost no chance of winning the Europa this year, no chance at all of finishing 4th let alone maybe getting second, years away from being a genuine top 4 team, years away from being good in the champs league.

Athletico and Bayern would be the club of choice for most players given the choice between Pool and either of those, I doubt either of them would go for Suarez at all.
 
Hope we keep Suarez in the summer, couldn't bear to go into next season without him. Gerrard isn't the player he was, Sterling still needs to learn a lot and we've got so many average wage sponges in the squad its making me cry.

So he'd be leaving Liverpool a club with of no chance of winning silverwear to clubs without an outside shot of winning silverwear? If that was the case why not just stay at Ajax?

Like you I dont even see Athletico or Bayern even being in for him but if they were I just dont see either being the types of clubs to really catch his eye and make him push for a move away (especially so soon after signing his last contract)

To sum up the way the Liverpool supporters are sounding to me is that they're worrying about someone like Real Madrid coming in for him in the near future and basically that aint ever going to happen :p
 
Bayern win the league title more often than not, and have been in the champs league final twice in the last three years.

Athletico WON the Europa cup last year, and are probably favourites to win it this year. Neither of these things are outside chances, Liverpool have an extremely slim chance of winning the Europa, Athletic have a real chance of winning it, if not the best chance of anyone in it and Bayern are like 98% certain to win the league this year and most likely get to a champs league semi final at the least.

Athletico might be a slim chance to win the league, winning the league cup or Europa is far more likely, and next year I can see them being just as strong in the champions league... remember who they tore Chelsea a new one in the Super Cup? League, they have a very slim chance of beating this Barca to a league title(Messi gets injured.... who knows), a cup competition where someone else could knock Barca out or they only need to beat them once, they can certainly try.

Bayern/Athletico WILL be top 4 clubs for the next several years, Liverpool won't be, they'll both do well in Europe, Liverpool won't, they'll both do well in domestic cups, Liverpool could do well in the domestic cups... who cares about domestic cups.

Anyway IF it was no chance of cups versus outside chance of winning cups... I'd still move for the better chance of winning stuff... and the more money, better weather, better women, better quality of life... not being Liverpool.
 
Hopefully we go with Wisdom RB and Johnson LB, although I'm not sure what's the situation with Wisdom right now. He done really well when he was in the side but since his injury he's not even been on the bench which is odd when most games we've had both Carra and Coates there.

I wasn't talking about discussion in general, just within "The Football Stadium" :p

If you look at it though, there'd be nothing to read really if people weren't constantly baiting each other and point scoring.
