So many positives to take away from that game but the biggest for me was the noticeable improvement in Lucas' fitness and the movement and passing of Henderson. Those two along with Gerrard should be our midfield trio going forward. They provide a much better balance than when Allen plays.

That was a must win game considering we have United, Arsenal and City to play away from home in the net month.

I would argue there's been nothing Gerrard's done today that Allen wouldn't do. Although no chance of Gerrard being dropped or moved it seems.
