Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th December 2012 - 2nd January 2013]

Was driving home listening to talk sport who were saying that QPR were on odds of 13/1 to win, and they were laughing at how nobody would bet. Anyway I came home and did a inplay bet at 10/1 :)

nice touch :) I admit that with 10 mins to go the odds on a draw were 15/1, not being entirely confident of the pressure being applied and being a sure bet pretty much I stuck 10 quid on that just in case

This is why I hate Redknapp. "Oh yeah, that was our plan to play like that and I thought we deserved it." Your plan was to get battered and score a goal completely against the run of play? That's not management, it's complete fluke.

I think if we could go to old trafford and score and concede less than two I'll be happy. (Well until the day until, then go full retard when we start losing.)

I assume he (Redknapp) set them up the same as he did in the second half of our match with them. Tried to play open attacking football and got bummed then shut up shop and tried to hit us on the break in the second which killed the game stone dead.

Really good performance from us today and with a bit of luck we'd have scored a fair few more. Suarez is a genius, Henderson's looking better and better and it's great to see Sterling scoring again - if he adds goals to his game then he's going to be a top class player.

And he still gets berated for being in the team.

He still is quite clearly a vital player to us, but he needs to cut out his half arsed passes and lazy **** sometimes, those are the reasons he gets ****ged, albeit ott by a fair few people.

edit; sla gged is starred out 0.o?

That has been the synopsis of almost every interview he's given as a manager since the dawn of time.

The the exception of that one about why his dog was being paid for him, but no one seemed to make much of a fuss about that.

At the beginning of the season he did deserve the stick but he has got fitter and sharper and it shows on the pitch.

He looks no fitter or sharper than he did at the start of the season. It looks like he's lost his legs but he's not lost his ability though. It's going to take him a bit of time to adapt his game and to find his best role in the side - he's too talented for him not to though and I'm certain that he'll have a huge part to play over the next few seasons.

To me he does but that could just be the effect of playing better, on form. Suarez is just a beast atm

The man is a charlatan.

He has already been screaming how he took on mission impossible with qpr and that it is all the fault of the players. When qpr stay up naturally it will all be his genius.

All that matters in Spurs putting any goals past qpr asap and shutting Harry up. The man is a chancer and a media strumpet who will prostitute himself and whatever club has the misfortune of having him as a manager for attention.

amazing what a fall from grace has had in 12 months. if he'd not bottled it at spurs and kept his mouth shut about the england job, who knows what would have been?

the bloke's a tart but atleast he likes a challenge and steps up. he's certainly got a challenge on his hands but a win against chelsea is commendable, no matter how he did it. i reckon he might go in for gallas and parker for qpr, they're what is needed. we need to keep both though but if they're not going to get starts, they may fancy the move as they'd probably get more money there than at spurs.

Really he did us alright for the time he was with us. Champions league we got to the 1/4 finals ( Look at Man city ) to see how good a achievement that was.

Granted he does tend to try and bankrupt any club he goes to but surely that's what Levy was there for :)

From a personal point of view I'm pretty sure he does shed loads of charity work which goes unnoticed. Willing to be proved wrong mind.

He is a media darling but is that a bad thing ? It keeps the attention away from his players and he just gets positive reports in the media in return for old 'arry giving the occasional juicy interview
