Reports that Rio and Evra wont travel to Everton for the midday match on Saturday, so something like the below possibly?

---De Gea----

Jones /Smalling Smalling /Jones Vidic Fabio

Nani / Valencia Cleverley Carrick Young

----- Rooney-----

----Welbeck-----

(unless SAF wants to mess around with the formation and go 4 - 5 - 1

Cant believe they wouldn't travel, fair enough not playing either but it would be suicide not even taking them. Cant see Cleverley being considered either, the midweek champions league game at OT seems a much more likely fixture for him to continue his rehabilitation in. I'd suggest we more likely line up like

---------------De Gea---------------
Smalling--Ferdinand--Vidic--Evra
Nani--Fletcher--Anderson--Young
---------------Rooney
------------------Hernandez

Subs: Lindegaard, Jones, Carrick, Park, Valencia, Welbeck Berbatov

There's probably a case for Berbatov (scored in both his last 2 appearances at Goodison) for playing over Rooney given he never plays well there. 3 points is a must, I dont care if it's a scrappy 1-0 just 3 points anyway possible

We haven't won at home since August nor have we scored at home in 5 games... I can't believe I'm going to go watch them again... :(

Top vs 2nd in le champ! Cant wait after missing out on beating west ham last week and having to watch the away draw last saturday on tv... :D

Hmmmm to stay up and watch the match with the possibility of being just as annoyed with last weeks performance again Norwich ...... 12:30am kick off here.

An unlikely win could be exactly what we need to kick start our season. Added bonus of the drog not being available too, his record against us is stupidly good!

Torres has served his suspension hasn't he? Be interesting to see who he starts with up front against you guy - think Sturridge could do a job against you lot!

Sturridge has been doing ridiculously well recently - would be keen to see how Mertesacker does against his pace!

That's a slight exaggeration IMO, he's been getting in good goal scoring positions and getting the odd tap in but that's about it from what I've seen. He was shocking against United and although he had the beating of Robinson on the wing against Bolton his two goals were really gift wrapped due to the non-existent defending. Both goals recently against Everton were also fairly simple tap ins as well.

I reckon Arsenal may well get something from the game at the weekend, whenever Chelsea beat Arsenal it's almost always due to Drogba in some form or another and he's not available for this game (it's arguable that he'd of even played he's that far down the pecking order now). Chelsea will need the Mata/Torres partnership to be at it's best to get a win. Score draw for me, maybe a sneaky Arsenal win.

I see your point, but I wouldn't consider it an over-exaggeration. You don't shoot, you don't score. With limited first-team experience and arguably playing (slightly) out of position he's certainly taken his chances and had a good go at stuff. He's joint top scorer this season at Chelsea, despite missing the first three games through suspension!
