Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th October - 2nd November 2011]

That's a slight exaggeration IMO, he's been getting in good goal scoring positions and getting the odd tap in but that's about it from what I've seen. He was shocking against United and although he had the beating of Robinson on the wing against Bolton his two goals were really gift wrapped due to the non-existent defending. Both goals recently against Everton were also fairly simple tap ins as well.

I reckon Arsenal may well get something from the game at the weekend, whenever Chelsea beat Arsenal it's almost always due to Drogba in some form or another and he's not available for this game (it's arguable that he'd of even played he's that far down the pecking order now). Chelsea will need the Mata/Torres partnership to be at it's best to get a win. Score draw for me, maybe a sneaky Arsenal win.

IMOP Basically Arsenal has zero chances of picking any thing from that game. Well Arsenal is currently playing well but they'll be humbled by Chelsea almost in the same way man C did to man u last Weekend.

Arsenal will hope to get something from the game hence playing a more open game which will be an advantage to Chelsea.

I hope Chelsea smash Arsenal, So fed up of people thinking they are over their rough patch, they have played no one of any merit.

This is the only time other than when chelsea play spurs that I want chelsea to win ofc :D

Verm might be playing so should make up for his lack of pace. Jenkinson is scary bad against anyone :(.

Don't start slagging Jenkinson off, he played most of his games in the Conference last season, he's been chucked in at the deep end with weights strapped to his feet.

That's the point though, he is nowhere near good enough for a prem team at the moment. I'm can't see any good points about him other than his willingness to push forward.

Dont think we will win but a draw would be nice against Chelsea...even then the odds of that happening are virtually nil....on a plus note, its good to see Verm back...hopefully he wont get injured again.....we definitely need him in our defence as without him we are decidedly cack.

You don't exactly have the team you had in previous seasons. We still above you?

By a point? That's nothing.

You haven't beaten us in the last six attempts, in fact you've lost them all. We had a team with Willo ****ing Flood putting one past you.

And for the record, this is the best 'team' we've had in years, they play for each other, work hard and never give up. Compared to the ego's and prima-donnas of the last few years, and with Mackay's new work ethic, we're still a pretty decent side. Not many teams will go to West Ham this year and win, like we did.

Who cares about History? Like Grayson said, most players can't remember what they had for breakfast. It was Bellamy who ripped us to shreds last year after we jut got promoted, both teams have changed this year. I wouldn't be so confident, apart from Birmingham, we're the inform team ;)

Also, you may wanna read the rules, what you called Leeds is not tolerated here.

If you could keep a clean sheet then I'd be inclined to agree, but you can't.

I'm not saying it's history either, just stating the facts. We're very much a bogey side of yours, much like Peterborough are to us at theirs.

I suggest you read the rules before you get a holiday.

RULES READ. SOZ.

You've conceded as many as us? Your point?

Even Hill at Barnsley said scoring 3 past us flattered them, very much the case with the Peterborough game as well. Point is whilst we may not be the most brilliant defence, we are slightly better than your current back five.

I'd have gone but at £36 a ticket they can do one.

In the end if we're out scoring the opposition, who cares. We have the top scorer and top assister in the league.

Ross in his first season with us was so good, then he just went fat and got boozing like every Scot. Keogh was useless but his cause wasn't exactly helped by having to deal with longball.

For some reason I thought the game was at the Emirates, still wouldn't rule Arsenal getting a point but yeah chances of them winning is pretty remote
