The two of them together have been sublime this season, keeping super Luc on the bench.
 
Smalling's broken his foot, Daily Fail says he'll be missing for 3 weeks. Just when it looks like we'll be able to put out a first choice back 4 another one gets crocked. Big chance for Jones to nail down the RB spot in his absence

I agree bit harsh calling Smalling injury prone, we do get a hell of a lot of injuries to our defence each and every season though. I'd love to see Chelsea, City or Liverpool deal with the injuries we've had to our defence at one time or another for the last 4 seasons running (dating back to 2009 when we had to play Carrick & Fletcher as centre backs for a couple of weeks)

We have to come off the boil at some point, today may be one of those we've got one eye on the game at Villareal midweek. I don't expect a high scoring game by any means, and would be more than happy with a 1-0 win. Plus there's your midweek result that may put the fire up you to get something at ours. I think we may rest Silva and even Yaya which would be a big loss.
 
Well we need to beat WBA today, Not a draw not a loss we need to finish our bloody chances!

Suarez is a doubt but as its him im sure he will play some part he seems to never get tired. Carroll apparantly was good in our last game so give him another run out.

Ill miss todays n odoubt due to being at my brothers so ill only get the usual text/ss updates :(
 
off to the game in a couple of hours, there's a great pub neat West Brom called the Vine which has a huge semi outdoor Indian BBQ going all day :)
 
Really looking forward to this, we could have done with Vermaelen back though. Really disappointed that Luiz isn't starting, RVP would have ripped him a new one, comical defender. :p

He shows a lot of promise, makes a lot of great tackles, but seems a bit, odd to say the least. Does some mental stuff and, "blessing" Torres before the game, comes across as a bad**** crazy south american religious nut.

The thing is, Arsenal fans really can't go around accusing other defenders of being comical

As for Evra serving a 3 match ban, surely its a bit unfair to hand out bans for being THAT bad :p To be fair, I'm surprised Fergie doesn't drop the bench hammer on him for being so utterly awful for so long. There's a point where managers could do more to send the message that your performances aren't good enough by dropping them.

EDIT:- Do'h, read it as Evra and assumed I'd forgotten a ban for something, though replace Evan's and it still stands, :p

Its not normally more than a 1 match ban unless its violent conduct or repeat offender.
