Easy to say when others are weighing in with goals and we're winning. Wait until it's crunch time and those misses are costing points... Old twitchy will be slaughtering Ade just like he did with Bent and so will the fans.
 
Chong, that's the point, Crouch was awful at bringing others into the game, people went on and on about how he had to start because VDV and him were a great partnership and he was getting all these assists. Yet without Crouch, VDV is still scoring, which should make people realise that Crouch had nothing to do with it.

Also Crouch missed chance, after chance, after chance, air shots, awful headers, inability to not conceded freekicks with every header.

Are there any good stats anywhere for how many fouls Crouch conceded per game vs Ade? How many times is pressure taken off the opposition by Crouch climbing all over a player in the box? He's rubbish, and I'm no fan of Ade but he's massively better than Crouch, there isn't a single part of Ade's game that isn't better than Crouch, shooting, passing, heading, hold up play, pace, movement, vision, everything.

My comment about us having Crouch back was tongue in cheek, I was just using his name as a benchmark for being a bit crap.... just like Ade's finishing was
 
Be tough tonight.

Expecting a loss (your typical Geordie pessimist :p) but a point would be a great result.

Sadly feel they will have a little too much for us. :(

On another note, lol @ sky for a pre match coverage that is focused on anyone but the teams playing :D:p feel the love for the Geordie's :D:p
 
Love what Pardew has done but god only knows why he plays Obertan who is gash when he has Marvaeux and Ben Arfa on the bench who have been great and Marveaux works hard tracking back as well. (Ben Arfa doesnt but that's another story :p)

No Tiote as well :(

Edit: lol @ the reduction in pitch size you could barely fit a five a side game on there! Can teams be the blatant fiddling with the pitch?

Suppose it's a compliment that Stoke are so scared they will modify their whole pitch for us :p

Great to see Newcastle doing well, hopefully they'll get a result here and that will say a lot as the Britannia is a hare place to go to and get a win.
