Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 4th October 2015]

I guess its not uncommon for footballers to turn on the club after they make their way into broadcasting. I cannot stand it when BT has Ian Wright comment on Arsenal games, makes me want to put my fist through the TV.

We've had our fair share of them but the most abuse was reserved for Rafa because he wasn't one of our own and he was foreign.

Ray Houghton, especially, was a right little **** whenever he talked about him. Expect more from scousers though :(

bit harsh of the liverpool board to sell their best players and then expect to compete for top 4 consistently though i suppose he did make some poor signings but how influential was he in those signings?

Well said. I doubt Rodgers had much of a say in transfers. Been left to dry really. A shame u can't sack the board

Reus at Liverpool, oh the horror.

I hate to see a good player in his prime cut down by a nasty transfer move.

That's a potential career ending blow there, even being linked with them.

;)

True, think it's an ankle/leg/knee issue that keep reoccurring for him.

Granted I don't watch enough Bundesliga to be sure. But I still don't think he'd go to Liverpool from BvB if the sources turn out to have some truth to them.

Getting klopp will be interesting, he is a good character and Liverpool seem to like that in staff.

I'm more interested in hearing what Lukaku said to Sakho as Sakho looked like he wanted to kill him. :p

He punched him in the back. There was a bit of grappling in the box and as they separated Lukaku punched/hit Sakho in the back.

"You want it with me? I am chief."

Apparently what Sahko said to Lukaku during the handbags.

Indykaila's identity has finally been revealed.

I don't really buy it tbh, I think it's probably more of a philosohpical/tactical thing like Guardiola with Barcelona... the longer he was there the more they they took tika-taka to the extreme and stopped doing the simple high risk things. It became too predictable and all about 'possession at any cost' in the end and the top teams started countering it.

I think he's probably drilled a certain philosophy into them so much that they've stopped doing other things which made them a better team, that and the fact that their defence is **** this season.

You could easily be describing Utd there too
