Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 4th October 2015]

I read on DM (I know) one of her ex's said that she would get late night calls from players requesting a 'massage' and she would go, no joke. Players are probably on strike.

That's her ex being a little ****, nothing more or less. She would have gotten those calls and so would the male members of staff. The general public sees massage as sexual, athletes get massaged near freaking constantly. If you watch some preseason trip type videos you see players being manhandled on a table constantly. It's also often the painful type of massage that unless you are heavy into BDSM you aren't going to enjoy in that way :p

Yeah but don't you think the players would have tried it on her? and do you think she'd have been strong enough to turn them down? the drama surrounding her sacking was bizarre I wouldn't be surprised if she was becoming a distraction and Mourinho wanted her away from them.

I'm expecting Brendan to raid Soton in January if he's still at the helm.

Except Southampton players won't see them as being the better chance(with Rodgers) as getting far in europe or a potential champs league spot. When half your best players go to Liverpool and you're better than them, there isn't much of a reason to go there any more.

What is far more likely is that Liverpool owners raid Southampton for their manager ;)

How long before it starts? They say never go back. Either you're more successful (why couldn't he have done that last time?) or you do worse (past it, too old etc.) but rarely does anyone do as well as before.

No, and frankly it's pretty damn absurd to even suggest it. She's 41, she's no where near as hot as some people make her out to be. These players can get women on tap, 18-30 yr old girls who are way hotter than her by just making a phone call. I sincerely doubt they gave two ****'s about her sexually. It's only fans who think a woman being involved must mean it's sexual who would even entertain the thought.

She's perfectly okay looking, for 41 she's in great shape, but very rich footballers who are famous can basically get the best of the best women, the entire idea is absurd.

The drama surrounding her sacking wasn't bizarre, whenever his team sucks Mourinho does something despicable to take attention away from the performance. Losing to Barca, stick your finger in the opposition assistant managers eye, kick Fabregas after he was fouled by Marcelo on the touch line in front of the bench. Losing a game, being a joke, blame the doctor.

Apart from their wages being trebled ;).

There are only so many players Liverpool can actually give higher wages to than Southampton can afford, and with 150k to Milner, big money to Benteke and plenty of others and a lot of players brought on recent seasons, there isn't going to be a lot of big wages being thrown around by Liverpool when they have spent to move up the table but failed entirely to move up the table.

Southampton are also becoming secure, offering 100k a week to players 2 years into the league when you could go down next year is risky. After a few years of both building up a bank balance and becoming a solid prem team they are in a much stronger position to offer bigger wages to keep hold of certain players.
