Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 5th March 2012]

Going to have to say that it looked like a dive from my point of view. Extremely frustrated because there is so much to admire about Saurez and the way he plays the game, he is such a good player that he doesn't need to do it.

All in though, the penalty was saved so justice was done. Scezny is truly immense.

No im watching it in glorious sky HD...and from where im sitting as i said its hard to say if there was any contact as Chesney pulled his leg back but even if there was contact, it was minimal but as people have said Suarez made a nice little dive out of it:p. But justice was served when the resulting penalty was saved.

Anyhow second half about to start...hopefully Arsenal will have sorted their heads out and will now play some football:p.
 
Suarez was already going down before he was touched, therefore he dived. The ball was nearly out of play as well, and it was going away from goal. It's a dive and it's certainly not a pen.
 
ESPN with a super close up... literally the tiniest bit of contact ever. Not a chance that's a pen.

Sky have just super slowed it down and yeah Suarez was leaping into the air as the contact was made

It looked as if Suarez' sock fibre may have brushed against Szczesny's leg some time after he'd started going down.

That was it. :p

Sky shown sort of what Halsey would have been able to see which is pretty much Kuyt standing in front of him.

Of course one thing no one is mentioning is there's no way the ref could have seen anything in the position he was at so regardless if there was a foul or it was just a dive the ref guessed. Justice done in the end though.
