Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 5th March 2012]

None of the fans of them clubs talk much about them so why would non fans suffer having to talk about it?! :p

Talk about your games and others join in, I can even derail the thread and get half a dozen posts about Newcastle inserted into the top 6 weekend thread with some effort! :D

Don't come in and whine, join in and get the debate flowing!

I wasn't whining, I was merely trying to see if there were fans of other "small" teams on here to bring in a good discussion, because you can only talk about the big clubs for so long before the conversations start repeating themselves(especially the Wenger debate which could send most people to sleep it is so repetitive)

Shock horror as people are caught talking about the bigger games, like 1st vs 3rd, rather than Stoke at home. Live updates on this story as we get them.

Shock horror as people are caught talking about a team in 7th, yet will hardly even mention the teams around Liverpool.

Again, I wasn't saying you're not allowed to talk about the bigger clubs, but teams like Sunderland have been doing very well recently and hardly get mentioned and yet if Walcott does anything then there will be several pages worth of comments saying how good/bad Walcott is and how Wenger is either the greatest manager ever or should be sacked.. :p

But there is clearly an unwritten rule saying that you must talk about the big teams so I'm out of here before the hardcore big 4 fans get angry..

You missed the point of my post.

Whilst you do get some discussion on smaller teams at times no one wants to sit and debate a club they don't follow/care about.

If the fans of the clubs talk about them others join in. Example you hardly ever used to get anyone mentioning Newcastle until a few of us regularly started talking about them, now we are involved in the debate.

The only other fans of smaller clubs who join in (off the top of my head) are Norwich and Stoke fans. If people don't talk about their club there will be no discussion of the club.

Ultimately the more fans of a club the more discussion it will get and unsurprisingly the top clubs have more fans. Plus when it gets completely derailed toward the end of the weekend, as it always does about one club or another, just ignore the thread like most do.

Well i hope RVP doesnt play for Arsenal today as we have agger out and i sense Carra will come in and replace him so RVP would have a field day.

We need to be on the attack instantly vs them, Henderson CANNOT play on the right again and i hope KD notices this as he is wasted there.

Massive game for Liverpool this, if they are in any way serious about getting 4th, then I feel they absolutely must win today, a draw against arsenal will not be good enough, they must beat arsenal today and then win their game in hand if they are really going to push for 4th.

I agree that we have to do that, Sick of draws at home also weve thrown away too many points that way :(

Most people talk about the bigger teams as that's what people support on here. People who support the smaller teams are uaualy busy actually attending the match so cant do a running commentary on if SAF is running out of chewing gum.

Anyway we will draw against Norwich 1-1

Team, Been posted on RAWK so could be false but im not that happy with it seems rather negative...

Reina.. Kelly Carra Skrtel Enrique.. Jay Charlie.. Dirk Henderson Downing.. Suarez

Im glad Kelly is in, Glad Henderson is in the middle but really no Bellamy? I dont know if he did full match on international so might explain why he isnt there. I worry with a lack of creativity in there, Downing whilst last game was very good his crosses are hit and miss and Suarez gets on them even less than Carroll does

Kuyt will get on the end of more than Suarez and Carroll combined though. If he drifts inside when Downing's on the ball, there are goals there. I'd quite like to see Carroll in instead of Henderson though, with Suarez dropping into the hole. It is good to see Henderson getting a chance in his best position though.

Great to see Kelly playing. Is Johnson injured? I think Kelly's better than him already anyway, but would be interested in knowing why that decision's been made. I assume Johnson hasn't been dropped?

Not really a game we should be broadcasting to the world :(

It's saving me the £36 plus travel (£24) for not going this year :p (last time some one thought it was a good idea to try and pick a fight in the taxi queue, we just walked off but it wasn't an endearing image of leeds)

We've signed Liam Lawrence out of nowhere! We might win a game or two now!

That's amazing! Glad we've played all the Cardiff games now as he's one of the better pomp players... (They are in so much financial trouble they have to abandon anyone on a big wage to make it to the end of the season)

I dont think Henderson will be played in right position, I think Kuyt will be behind Suarez and Henderson shoved on the right. I hope thats not the case mind

Yeah Johnson is out injured think its hamstring

I flew over to Newcastle last week to watch my first Newcastle game :d Shame about the drawn felt like a defeat lol

The news today of sideshowbob and Krul is well mint!! Bring on Sunderland!!

2-0 Toon

Right well the Arsenal and Liverpool is about to kick off....am hoping we get 3 pts out of this so we can keep up the pressure on Spurs....hopefully they will do an Arsenal and drop from 3rd to 4th:p.

Arsenal team: Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Song, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, Van Persie.
Subs: Fabianski, Diaby, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jenkinson, Gervinho, Chamakh, Miquel

Glad to see Verm and RVP in the squad, was a bit touch and go as they were both carrying knocks from their stupid friendlies:rolleyes:.

Come on Arsenal!!!...another 5-2 spanking would be absolutely marvellous:p

the Arsenal back 5 of

Chesny
Sagna - Koscielny - Vermaelan - Gibbs

is not bad at all, Koscielny I think will be really good once he's in a settled defence.

lolworthy defending from Arsenal and Koscielny. I won't say anything about Downing's 'shot' :D
