Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 6th February 2018]

He likely would have, but Cech got injured.

2nd half was rubbish, Arsenal should have kept it up, they always seem to drop the pace when they have a comfortable lead.

Ofcourse they do. Theres no need to carry in at that pace when they dont need to. Arsenal won the game after 30 minutes. Its a long season.

Why is that young lad Lookman good enough for a Bundesliga top 4 side not not Everton? He scored the winner for them today.

Because we’re rubbish. He would have made no difference to the result. The manager is clueless, enjoys his pies and will walk away smiling at his 6 million pay check.

If it wasn’t for all the **** below us in the league I’d put money on Everton going Down.

Because he scored one goal?
Even Beckham got loaned out, some players just need a bit more time. It’s not like there was a big queue forming to take him off us.

On the subject of Aubamayang being offside, here is the moment the ball is released to Aubamayang. As far as I'm concerned he is ON side as the the rule is you must not be beyond the last defender at the moment the ball is released.

You can clearly see Aubamayang's back foot is LEVEL with the last defender.

Basically Mangala is playing him on.

Dude if any part of your body that can legally score a goal is offside you’re offside. (So anything but your arms lol)

Nope. I was being serious. :)

I missed the bit where this was explained. Can you link it?
A player is in an offside position if:
any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line) and
any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent

What is it about DeBruyne that leads to commentators inventing different ways to say his name?

De Brine

Still not watched Everton since fat Sam was put in charge and won’t again until he’s sacked. Yet his interview post match on the bbc is freaking laughable.

The amount of times he says Swansea and then to top it all off he says they didn’t practice the system. And people on here said he would tighten up the defence. His whole plan was to copy Swansea.

Hopefully against Palace he chooses a better team to copy.
