Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 6th February 2018]

There's no question PEA was offside, but didn't he take his goal well? The finish was Henry-esque in it's execution.

The big one for me was Mikhitaryan though. He looks to be a different player to the one we saw at United

The stats the commentator said during the game was during their final season together at Dortmund they scored 60 goals and had 30 assists between them.

I definelty think Arsenal wanted Mikhitaryan over say Martial for the very reason he knew we where going for Aubamayang and it would add something extra to pair them up again.

I’m glad both Mikhi and Aubameyang has good games last night. Rambo was immense as well with his well deserved hattrick.

To be fair though it was against Everton, a team that somehow made us look like the old invincibles with their atrocious defending lol.

It will be interesting to see how the pair cope with the top teams. Hopefully they will do well but that’s what worries me. That last night was a easy game all round for us.

Also doesn’t Aubameyang look a bit like Henry?? I can see a bit of resemblance in the way they play.

so for all mkhi's brilliance Arsenal mimicked their result against the mighty Everton from earlier in the season without him in the team
Lets see how Arsenal do against a team who can actually defend well :)

Yep that will be the real test, first one is the spurs match we have next week. Plus it’s away so with or horrendous away form, which is relegation form...it will be interesting to see how both Mikhi and Aubameyang play.

On the plus side, the match is at Wembley which is like a second home for us, so the away match problems may be less of an issue

Fair play to the liner having the nuts to call a penalty for that, madness from Clark as it's unlikely Benteke is ever getting his head to that. 1-1.

We were clearly going to concede and will almost certainly go on to lose now. We started well but in typical benetiz fashion as soon as we get an advantage we stick 10 men behind the ball and give up any pretence of actually playing the game.

Grim being a Newcastle fan :P
