Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 6th February 2018]

And it was as clear a penalty as you'll ever see. Wouldn't have been surprised to see him try and avoid giving us that one.

He's not been trying to avoid giving you anything lol, he made an error on the other one at full speed where many people call going for a header '50/50', granted he bulldozed him and it was dangerous.

He's made 3/4 "mistakes" and weirdly they've all been against us. McTominay was taken out twice even before that incident.

Laca dropped, Auba starting, Iwobi playing, Wilshere on the bench as well.... it will take time to see what happens but, you'd think if he intended for Auba to start wide left consistently he would probably do that straight away.

If we bought Auba to just replace Laca, I think he's better for sure but Lacazette's biggest issue has been lack of chances due to the way we play and lack of giving him the ball, Auba would have the same issue. It's Ozil at times, Iwobi, Ramsey, Xhaka who have been not finding the striker and where we needed improvement.

Surely we have to just play Laca wide and hope he can play there, can he honestly be worse than Iwobi who has been an utter joke?

Even just on a confidence level, dropping LAcazette right after buying Auba certainly sends the signal that you're done.

Not booking Sanchez for diving wasn't a mistake? Surprised you missed that given how often you call for people to be suspended for diving.

As I said earlier, manu hard done by but he also should have booked sanchez for his dive (something you're very against)

Moses isn't exactly wrong, if you search through your posts it will only be complaints of decisions going against manu and not noticing the decisions/non-decisions you have benefited from.

No it was a dive. But as you keep telling me their treatment of diving is completely fine so it was appropriately punished, the same way others diving is.

As I said, please post some sources or shut up :) If you're not willing to back your ******** up then don't say it.

Excuse me? If a player dives he should be booked. It was therefore a mistake by the ref in favour of Utd which you missed or chose to ignore.

But when I say that you keep saying I'm being overzealous

I thought you said if the ref wasn't sure then they can't book them?

Okay have a read through this brief searches of posts on the first page here, I can only really see mentioning if where manu has been wronged and never the other team. I'm not the only person to notice it so.... (Also considering I'm one of the dumbest posters on a match day, it isn't hard to spot other ones)

That's a whole load of broken links Purdy.

If I must be so pedantic.

I'm not sure what you mean by the first part. When you make comments such as "will he be suspended now?" I have tried to explain the rules to you, yea if that's what you mean.

And if a ref can't see or is unsure of what's happened then no, he shouldn't give it. It doesn't make it the correct outcome though. You only need to search your name and the word dive to see 1000 posts where you've hammered opposition players for what you've seen as diving (even when they've been fouled) so when you gloss over a Utd player diving and claim the ref is bias against Utd it makes you seem a little bit hypocritical and bias yourself.

Yeah that is just my posts Purdy, sorry can you explain how that proves:

1. I claim refs are being over zealous towards us
2. I claim refs are being overly lenient towards our opposition
3. I claim that rivals are given beneficial treatment

1. I've said it is a dive, it's literally the first thing I said after the incident. So your claim that I'm being hypocritical doesn't really fly. I didn't gloss over it at all. In fact I said that we need to make sure he understands he can't do that and I believe you and others laughed at me. how is that glossing over it?
2. So if he hasn't seen it clearly then he hasn't made a mistake? I'm just following your rules Baz considering you've attacked me for suggesting they should be more strict in the past. it's weird how you've been so defensive of them in the past yet suddenly a United player does it and the situation is different?
