Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th March - 3rd April 2018]

And thats why I don't do the prediction league anymore :P

Winning the league against United is going to be incredible for City, feel sorry for the away fans.

Starting to think Shelvey might deserve a call-up. I wanted him gone after the Spurs game, and he's undoubtedly a liability, but nobody in that England set-up has the range of passing he has, especially at the speed he plays at. Helps that Diame has turned into prime Vieira since being chinned by Lascelles but he's in superb form.

Hope I don't sound like one of those ultras who thinks every English player who has a couple decent games for the club they support deserves a call-up, like West Ham fans with Noble a few years back.

Top half here we come! :D

We'd be at least 10 points better off had we signed Kenedy and Dubravka at the start of the season, but hey ho. Form has been great since the end of Dec. Only 3 losses to the 2 best teams in the league.

Shelvey's got a lot of talent but he's a lunatic and unfit/lazy. Lampard tore him to bits earlier in the season for his lack of effort when Newcastle were on the back foot and there was a moment in the last few minutes today where Huddersfield were attacking on the edge of your box and Shelvey was barely 10 yards away, leant forward with his hands on his knees.

Oh, I agree he's worth a shout. You only had to look at his performance the other month vs Utd to see that he has the ability to play against the very best players. If he does go to the WC he'll be a red card waiting to happen though.

He's one of the few central midfielders we've got that can actually play the killer pass..... complete loony tune though.

He'd at least offer us something different to the 15-20 central midfielders we've got that can all play backwards/sideways.

Might as well take him though. With Lallana's injury we basically have zero creativity. No point taking a bunch of CM who all do the same thing
