Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th November - 3rd December 2018]

Pickford would have a blinder and Salah/Mane’s touch would be awful when I need them to finish a big accumulator off  should be comfortably ahead.

Shaqiri needs to bend that on his left regardless of the angle.

Eh? I'm a Liverpool fan but Everton have had as many great chances as we have

I’d say Liverpool’s have been a bit more clear cut and have came down to poor finishing, the ball hasn’t been out of Everton’s half for very long at all.

Maybe, but Mina missed a sitter of a header, Walcott fluffed a one on one, and there was a great Allison save. It's pretty even in my books.

I wouldn't say Theo fluffed it, keeper did great to get a touch and knock it off him.

It's classic Theo, every other striker in the world would have actually taken a touch and taken the ball away from the keeper or shot. Theo needs 14 steps to get himself set for the touch he wants. He literally just danced around the ball without getting a touch as the keeper came in and got the ball.

Salah's clearly not playing at the level he did last year but his link up play has come on leaps and bounds. Almost feels like Firmino and Salah are playing in the wrong positions and Salah should be the number 10.

Salah's had a very good game, not so much in front of goal but setting up his teammates. Poor sub imo.

Edit: Firmino doesn't even look fit, he's jogging around letting players go past him

The good thing is almost everyone has improved, some massively like Iwobi who had completely forgotten what his feet were supposed to do while training under Wenger, some less so like Xhaka who is only a little improved. But that means unlike Wenger who brought in a player and they got slowly worse over time, now Emery can bring in some defenders and also improve them over time to be even better. Based on their rating and judgement of Torreira I'm optimistic they'll (the new guys from Dortmund and Emery making decisions together) buy some good players in the coming years to strengthen/rebuild this side to be considerably better.

Mustafi, Sokratis, Monreal, Kos are all pretty old and even if they were top of their game and not making mistakes would need to be being replaced sooner rather than later. Sokratis was obviously a cheap short term supplement to what we had and is needed with Kos's injuries and frankly no one else good enough. I think we'll get at least one CB in summer, maybe two.

Leno is seemingly coming good as well, came out early and well a couple times in that game, came out miles once and got it spot on. People were saying he was over rated and not worth the cash, as in people who watched him in the German league last year but he seems to have been a fair upgrade. THere is a video of Chesny and Flappihandski both basically mocking Garry Peyton, our previous GK coach. Not surprising seeing as basically every keeper who leaves improves a lot. Chesny now god damned first team at Juve ffs and playing great every time I've seen. New guy is a highly rated GK coach and hopefully Leno continues to improve with a good coach. Cech if he sticks around for a bit (which doesn't seem likely) might also improve a fair bit under proper training again.

All signs are positive from Emery and from Arsenal in general. Better transfer decisions started in winter when the new guys from Dortmund got involved in that part of the club, better coaching, better mentality, better team choices and better performances as a result.

What tactical changes do you think Emery has implemented since taking over?
