It wouldn't make any sense to with Saliba next season and Holding a few weeks away from fitness. It's unfortunate but 3 of this back line aren't 1st choice, we've just to live with it until they're all fit and ready.
I agree about a midfielder though, desperately need an Ozil type who actually turns up.

Have Arsenal caused themselves problems signing Pepe? He's got to be in the side as their record signing, but playing him in his best position means playing Auba wide (or dropping Laca), and I'm not sure either of them are good options. It would have made so much more sense to spend that money on a top CM, and play Torreira CDM, Guendozi and new CM in midfield, Ceballos at CAM, and Laca and Auba up top

I was thinking the same.
Lacazette seems happy playing as a 9 or 10 so playing him behind Auba seems the logical thing to do but Pepe makes that difficult. Can Pepe play upfront?
