Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [31st October - 5th November 2014]

It was very disappointing today watching us go a man down in the first half.
I did not watch the 2nd half as I had no wish to see us get mauled by Man City.

Normally, I'm quite relaxed about losing (for various reasons), but we now have 4 games coming up and we MUST get 12 points from them. No freaky decisions/stats/results. We need the points. Arsenal is an absolute must win game (6 pointer).

We are competing against Liverpool and Arsenal for 3rd and 4th place, so the fixtures between these 3 teams are so important.

Red card today, in the 1st half (Smalling actually got his 1st yellow card in the most bizarre fashion).
Against WBA, WBA have 2 shots on goal and they both go in. We had 15-20. And we draw.
Red card for Rooney against Everton (was it)?
Against Leicester we capitulate after they scored 1 goal, and after we dominated them for the first 60 minutes.
These freaky stats/occurrences can't continue happening.

We actually have a good team now, who fight till the 90th minute and play without fear, so we have every chance of getting maximum points in the next 4 games. The Arsenal game is going to be massive.

Didn't you say the attacking was purring now?

I think Man U rely too heavily on Di Maria to create something, I wonder what will happen when he's injured? Also everything seems to come through a set piece, there needs to be more creativity, RVP is getting moaned at but he's not getting much in terms of service.

Oh and the WBA game, you had a lot of shots but not 15 on target, IIRC I can't remember their keeper making a save? Quality over quantity.

unbanned?

The question should be for how much longer.

It's not just when he's injured but when he's not on top form. Against Chelsea and City today he struggled to make much of an impact and Utd struggled to create many clear chances in open play in either game.

Utd just gave the ball away too many times. Hopefully we'll buy well in Jan, scrape 4th and then buy again in summer and by next season we will be a more cohesive team. I don't think we're too far off to be honest, there are signs that we're a better team than last year and the potential is there.

^ Is that post within the rules, Andy?

Our attack is purring.

Against Chelsea: we created more chances than Chelsea. Mourinho's teams though, always manage to hold their own, even under the most potent attack. Mourinho is the best manager in the World IMO and I am gutted we opted for Moyes instead of him. From all the evidence, it appears Fergie chose Moyes because he was his mate. Shocking.
Against Man City: we were a man down, at the Etihad Stadium...we will never dominate under these conditions.

I'm disappointed at the state of our injury list.
Our defenders are made of glass and I really do want to see what Falcao can do.

You must have read the rules, nice one.

When i look at statto and we have lost as many games as we've won. And drawn one more than that.

even under Moyes after 10 games we had an extra 30% more points at this point. The fixtures are no harder this year as we played chelsea, city and Liverpool too im last season's first 10.

I'm worried.

Yes but Liverpool and Everton look far worse this season.
