Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [31st October - 5th November 2014]

So after 10 games, we are averaging 1.3 points a game. Chelsea 2.6 and Southampton 2.2. And no one really seems concerned about this?

Of course it's concerning, but when you take everything into account it's somewhat understandable.

Now we've got those two difficult games out of the way I expect us to get near on maximum points from the next load of games. Injuries are a real problem though.

Not in the slightest.

As last week, result aside, the performance was more than good enough. A few fixes needed for sure in defence and you could argue that we need at least a new RB and new CB.

For large parts of the game we contained City and we moved the ball at a high tempo.

My only concern from today is that RvP doesnt look lightning up top especially when we are looking to play a high tempi game.

Yes i mentioned over a year ago we needed q right back qnd people only realise this now lol?

New system? Looked like a flat back 4 to me...

the trick is to realise you need something before you need it. Not after the fact that's obvious to everyone.

Man U's team today was the most expensive ever fielded in a PL side. That was minus a few more expensive players as well? 241m!

Yes new system

We are playing in the main a 4-3-3 with Blind playing in the Pivote Role. Two other specialist roles in midfield with him. This pushes the CB wider apart than under Ferguson or Moyes for that matter. The role, position and discipline of a full back in 4-3-3 is different than other formations

Fergie used 4-2-3-1 for the latter part of his tenure and Moyes a more traditional 4-4-2

Maybe try and do a bit of reading on football tactics and formations, trust me you will be a liitle wiser and richer for the experience

And that means we haven't needed a rb for the last 2 years?

You're having a giraffe. Every time I've said rafael is injury prone or not reliable i got slated. Yet it's the truth. 433 or 4321 makes no difference to that at all.

nice try though?
