Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [3rd - 6th May 2019]

Just back from the match and had time to digest, absolutely cracking game and out worked Liverpool all over the pitch and in my opinion were robbed of a result but thats football and will most likely be sorted next season with VAR, we gave Liverpool a massive shock and the whole time I have had my season ticket(25+ years) that is the quietest I have ever heard Liverpool fans. I truly hope Rafa stays but wouldn’t blame him if he doesn’t as I wouldnt want to work under that parasite Mike Ashley.

What would VAR sorted? If anything you'd have been a man down and a penalty to Liverpool in the first 10 minutes and could have looked at Salahs injury late on. Newcastle barely had the ball last night lol

Would like to see Liverpool get over the line. As others have said, a bit more squad depth and they would have had this in the bag already; which makes it even more the stranger as to why they didn't get anyone in January.

Should make an interesting game on Monday with the brendan Rogers connection

PMSL, so much of a penalty that sky didn’t even mention it in the commentary, Liverpool should have been the team down to 10 men sorry, as for the diving king Salah nothing wrong with that challenge from our GK, so pleased your going to be the only team in history to have only lost 1 game all season and NOT win the league

Mane was kicked in the face in the box, how much more of a penalty do you want?


Trent wasnt sent off as you scored, we've been through this already, stop talking nonsense. As for "diving" Salah, he was pushed into your goalkeeper by your meathead of a defender. We can also talk about Ritchie and him digging his studs down the back of Salahs heal if you want?

That’s where I sit and it was no where near his face, as for Salah and Mane they went down quicker than a Kardashian’s knickers all night like every game, Liverpool were just as bad with the niggly fouls it’s football, enjoy being the only team in history to lose only 1 game all season and **** up the league
 
How do you know what Sky said on commentary when you were at the game @woppy101? And they did comment on Manquillo kicking Mane in the head actually, obviously it wasn't a major talking point as we won the game but it was a clear penalty.

Hmm ok, well as I said they did mention it on commentary, even mentioning Manes red vs City for the same thing. Given that we won it obviously wasn't a big talking point post game though, that instead was discussing the ref correctly allowing Atsu's goal and not sending Trent off although I think that was more luck than judgement.

Must win game today, it's unlikely but Arsenal and Chelsea are hardly great and can easily drop points.

0-1. Nice goal McTominay, dodgy keeping though. Showing a lot of promise in general.
