He's in the same position Rafa found himself. Small squad and a tiny budget compared to the teams we're expected to compete against so do we spend big on a few quality players or look for cheaper backups? There's no right or wrong and both will come back to haunt us.I dont see a title challenge for Liverpool next season unless they spend something like £100 million as some players are not good enough and getting used to CL football in mid week with league games a couple of days after will take it's toll on the team.
Thanks, tbh Liverpool over achieved this season and we seen today their team is limited.
Rodgers with a big budget and a couple of years to build his team would be great to watch and i'm sure he will have another crack at the league in another couple of years.

And if he did that and it was 3-3 at the end you would be screaming why did he change from a formation that was looking to score 6 goals! Every single manager ever, the hindsight police can pull apart and say they lacked experience and made the wrong call. If you felt that at 3-1 why didn't you post that here?
Rodgers has taken a team almost all of us thought would just about get in the top 4 if they were lucky to a hair of the title. Manager of the year by a mile.
Pressure now firmly back on City

Shouldn't they be apologising for their season first?
A clueless manager doesn't win as many trophies as he has but clueless posters might think that
When were we ever favourites for the title?
Such a small club mentality
/agree, a professional club should not be posting stuff like that.
I think Gerrard's huddle where he screamed at the players "this does not ******* slip now" will go down in history alongside Kevin Keegan and his "I'll love it if we beat them" moment, it's like he saddled the team with a whole load of pressure and they've just completely ballsed things up ever since.
Credit to Palace on a fantastic comeback though and their fans in the corner were fantastic throughout, even at 3-0 down.
