Dont think it was that bad tbh, what people will remember it for is when he slipped for the Chelsea goal that realistically cost them the league after saying "lets not let this ******* slip!"

Probably should have kept that huddle for in the dressing room but his adrenaline and emotions probably got the better of him.

It's like poetry really, it couldn't have happened in a more perfect way even if it were all staged. It would be even more unbelievable if City were to crumble now and let Liverpool win the title anyway, it would be absolute fairytale stuff.

I think Gerrard's huddle where he screamed at the players "this does not ******* slip now" will go down in history alongside Kevin Keegan and his "I'll love it if we beat them" moment, it's like he saddled the team with a whole load of pressure and they've just completely ballsed things up ever since.

Credit to Palace on a fantastic comeback though and their fans in the corner were fantastic throughout, even at 3-0 down.

No player deserves to be lumbered with that for the rest of history more than Stevie Me.
