Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4 - 8th May 2013]

If you lash out you deserve to be sent off. Yes, Luiz acted like an idiot, but it should/would still have been a red had he stayed on his feet.

Why would it be, after the ball has clearly gone he's just kicked out at the player on purpose, that will never in a million years be recinded, also what exactly has Luiz done wrong here? He got kicked, he's laughing about it, laughing != cheating, he got kicked, by a midget, he laughed at the stupidity of Rafael kicking out like a girl.

Think about it like this, Aguero utterly assaulted him and it hurt, Rafael kicked out, and while it tripped him, he's laughing about it because it was so tame frankly. Stream hitched a bit, maybe Luiz did something else I didn't notice other than laughing at the idiot that is Rafael.

laughing whilst on the floor pretending to be injured to get Rafael sent off = cheating... DM I usually don't jump on the 'everything you post is absolute ********' bandwagon but you make it very difficult not to.

I didnt really see him pretending to be injured. Ye he made the most of it with the fall but he was laughing wasn't rolling around. Rafael got himself sent off.

You are honestly entertained when you watch your team play? The table in no way reflects our performances at all.

Table lies then, I thought only cm was stupid enough to subscribe to that theory? Must be a spurs' supporter thing ;)

Gutted Spurs :D

No Champions League for Spurs and Bale will want out, might make him a tad cheaper.

Pretty bad performance though, the squad (more first eleven) does need some strengthening in the summer without question. Not a good game to judge us on though as we've nothing to play for and Chelsea aren't exactly bad, and even then, they struggled.

It's a shame for Rafael as he's been an absolute beast all season and was one of our better players this game too.

No, you make it difficult to be taken seriously.

Here's a hint people the kick is a red card wheter Luiz goes down OR NOT, the KICK is what the red card is for, and Rafael, amongst many other Utd players are prone to going down and pretending to be injured themselves to get people carded.

Laughing != cheating, show me where in the rules it says laughing is cheating and I'll take it back. Pretending to be injured isn't even really cheating, if anything Luiz is being incredibly obvious that he isn't injured, which is LESS bad than pretending to scream in pain.

Rafael kicked him, thats the red, it tripped Luiz, he went down, he then laughed about it....... thats the sequence of events, if Luiz went down and started masterbating, or gurning a la Jones, or holding his leg screaming in fake pain, irrelevant.

He didn't do anything to "get Rafael sent off" Rafael kicked someone, Rafael got himself sent off.

Before the goal Rooney DID NOT get kicked, had the ball stolen off him and he threw himself to the ground turned and screamed for a freekick..... Luiz was actually kicked, Rooney was attempting to get a decision that wasn't, Luiz was trying to ensure a decision that WAS. One of these things is cheating, the other is nothing at all. As said, he wasn't particularly rolling around, he was simply tripped, and laughed at how pathetic Rafael was at kicking out at him.

Remove the blinkers. Come back when you've seen the replay. There was no cheating, Rafael took a kick at him and got the red card he deserved.

I don't have a problem with the red card myself, if you're going to get sent off you might as well do it in style and Luiz is about as good as any of the Chelsea players to kick :)

He was lying on the ground holding his ankle, laughing, contemplated getting back up then rolled over again. Meh. It's sad when that was the highlight of an utterly woeful game.

I didn't say Rafael didn't deserve the red, it was pathetic from him, but Luiz giggling to himself thinking he's clever is pretty pathetic imo.
