I get confused as to how the greatest manager of all time has managed to build a squad with only one midfielder in it.
Because with the current state of the EPL, there was no need, there is a reason(CHelsea anti football/fluking aside) English football has sucked balls in Europe for the last two years.
In fact, I would dare say the league has been going down hill at a higher rate since the introduction of the home grown quota's, guys like Welbeck are being held on to, and giving 80k a week ffs, because teams desparately need whatever english talent is available. Homegrown quotas are fine if homegrown grass roots football training was on par with the rest of europe, with no reason for it not to be, but we are so far behind its embarrassing. THe rest of europe picked up on how to fix training their kids but going to the best and copying it, we're the only country that went, saw, learned and decided not to bother changing.
German league, some fantastic games throughout the season, even the Italian league has had countless brilliant games to watch, very very few EPL games have been exciting this year. Most of the big games have been borefests, there have been few if any of your 7-4's between relegation strugglers and the odd 6-0 type games have mostly been one side being so disgustingly awful the other team hasn't even been that good.
Utd have been the best of a poor league, and most of the games haven't been the least bit exciting.
Not difficult, I did name it, overall its got plenty of crap games, but the big clashes seem a mile ahead of ours. Even if its just the violence angle, the derby today was dead, the clashes between top teams, derbies, plenty of really good games, so so few this year in the EPL. Its either like today where both teams are dead/can't be arsed, or one team is so so pathetic its not even a competition.
Carlos Vela. Whenever in doubt, just Carlos Vela.

, currently Vela I'd say was the 4-5th most in form player for Sociedad, he was their top player till 2-3 months ago, since then the other strikers/widemen have been a little better, but all excellent. The team is pure joy to watch, and most people who bother watching more than el classico think the same. The team is epic to watch and while Vela is brilliant, the entire team has been brilliant.
Pundits, footballers, anyone who pays attention to La liga has been praising Vela, and Sociedad all season(and pretty much from the second half of last season), if anyone thinks its because Vela is ex Arsenal, they are delusional. He's the reason I decided to watch a few more Sociedad games, but not the reason I stayed watching Sociedad games... or I should say, not the main reason, its because they are just exceptionally fun to watch. Remind me heavily of 1998-2004 Arsenal, counter attacking football sex.
