Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th - 7th December 2015]

We were really spoilt with him and I would be amazed if we found anyone so perfect for the DM role for a long time :(

If we raid the German league perhaps Lars Bender or Luiz Gustavo. Don't really know of anyone else and don't know if either are any better than Lucas.

Illarramendi, Neves and Jorginho are the most linked ones arent they. All fairly young, all would be able to rotate with Lucas whilst they bed in so to speak.

Hey fellow Liverpool supporters, don't feel down, it could be a lot worse. You could have spent a nice sum of money travelling up to watch that shower of ****! I Could have been Christmas shopping today instead of leaving it to the last minute like always.

I thought Newcastle played pretty well today, especially considering their recent performances.

Plenty of grit, determination and effort. Loads of ratting going on, they barely gave Liverpool a chance to breathe on the ball.

Fully deserved the win.

Yep, whilst we were garbage I think it would be unfair to take that away from Newcastle. Not a huge amount of quality but they really ****ing wanted that win and got it.

A Leicester City and a button fan, you must love disappointment :D:o;)

I'd rather follow a team which doesn't buy their success :D Which makes our table topping position all the more impressive. 8 points from safety, anything else is a bonus so we won't be disappointed this season. I bet half of Chelsea's fans won't know that Ranieri managed them once when they rock up to the KP next week #plasticfans :D

There's always an overachiever in a season, just make sure you don't go and get relegated next season which seems to be often the case. Ipswich, Hull, Sunderland, Reading in recent years may of not reached the heights of Leicester but after their one hit wonder season they ended up going down or struggling after.

I suppose it's a case of enjoy it whilst it lasts, if it does all go pear shaped I hope you remain posting in the Football Section...!

Yeah, the trick is to be just **** enough that the big boys don't come in and dismantle your side in the summer.

They're screwed already then. No idea how rich their owner is but some big clubs will be after Vardy and Mahrez in the next few transfer windows. Would love Mahrez at Liverpool tbh. He's exactly the type of player I hoped Lallana would be for us.
