Schneiderlin was fantastic for Southampton most of the time, perhaps worth considering why so many players who were good elsewhere, like Di Maria, Depay, Kagawa etc. are turning up at Utd and then turning crap.
.
Depay has gone up about 3 levels so that's a different consideration - I would agree about the other two though.
Didn't help that Kagawa was continually played out of position - whether Utd ever suited him, or whether it was tactics /the league that just wasn't suitable I don't know, but before and after his Utd stint Kagawa was a brilliant player in Germany
But if the team is bad then surely it's all the more impressive that he's still doing well? I mean for most of the season his only outlay option was a crap Rooney, we've got 2 inexperienced youngsters on the wings and if Herrera isn't playing then he has no support from midfield. He's done far better in the centre but he's got an idiot manager that stuck him out wide most of the season.
.
Today is just one of the many days when he hasn't done well at all - he is far too invisible (even in his favoured no10 role) for majority of the time
No "still" about it in the slightest
No-one pays £30m+ for a player at this level at his age (with experience of the league) for him to be invisible most of the time no matter who is around him
If Rooney is not playing well (or at all) he should have stepped up - and for the most part he never did /has
