Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [5th - 6th November 2011]

Same mistakes as every season the "lesser" teams we struggle bigger teams we dont as much
I don't think it is. I genuinely think this is the worst midfield we've had for years and the fact it cost nearly £50 million is embarrassing. As I said at the start of the season, stop Suarez and we have nothing.

I'm very worried about how this season will turn out now.

Edit: Swansea come close again. Second promoted team we've played and we're struggling again.

I agree on the Suarez front basing on what ive seen so far this season, But KD is not imo choosing best options avaliable to him, Henderson/Downing last couple of games been more off than usual but still uses them.

We should and maybe coule of got better players but in case of Henderson he hasp lenty of time to get better, Downing was always an odd choice as was Carroll.

So far Swansea attacks have been more threatning than ours too

It did, but it wasn't. Good decision.

It looked possible but it definitely wasn't, I can't stand it when players do that, rather than focus on the ball and shooting, he focused on the player and started leaning into the player, who didn't lean back in so basically Hernandez just fell over, if he'd just shot, probably a goal. Why do players do that, Song does that defensively he'll get to the ball then back into a player focusing on the player, then someone else will come and nick the ball then he gets this confused look on his face. if he just dealt with the ball theres no need to hold the player off as the ball has long gone.

Just seen this on BBC:

25 years ago today, when Alex Ferguson took over at Manchester United the bottom 4 clubs were Chelsea, Man united, Newcastle United, and Man City. The top 4 today? The same.

How amazing is that?

Commentators are right, we need Berbatov on. Welbeck and Hernandez have just been **** They are both trying to do the same thing and not getting involved enough.
