Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [5th - 6th November 2011]

Seem to have started the way we left off midweek, far too slow and ponderous. Just then we countered and then just held the ball up and waited for them to get all ten back :confused:
 
Ouch, Cech taking another whack in the face, though I think ti was from contact with Cole rather than Yakubu and Olsson get caught on Verm's trailing boot as Olsson fell to the floor, nasty looking gash/blood for him there.

Looks like Cech has taken a whack right on the bridge of the nose so maybe broken nose there.

True but thoses players still came in and did a job. Our team where completely out on their feet at the end of the second half but still managed to do enough to hang on for the win. Ben won a couple of vital free kicks to wind down that clock.

Perhaps I should qualify the comment a little.

We played a **** Everton team, were 2-0 up after 25mins and if we had our first choice it would have been 4 or 5.

The lads will cone in and tick things over but they wont uproot trees or drive us forward. A steady squad but we need one or two more to help with injuries.

All in all though, magnificent job!!

We're lacking any penetration or pace, 25 mins and we still haven't managed a shot on target.
