Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [5th - 9th December 2014]

Yes, his fitness wasn't great to start with, then he got a new injury, and now he's building fitness again. We won't see the best of him just yet, but he's hardly been bad whenever he's been on the pitch anyway - just needs time.

Yea he definitely offers something different up front, his link up play, hold up and quick one twos are great to watch.

Hope Di Maria gets more involved today too, he's been a little quite after the great start. He needs someone like Falcao up front to feed, so many times he puts in fantastic balls in to danger areas and there's no one making them runs.

Di Maria is still injured and I'm 90% sure that we won't see Falcao until the very late stages of the game again. Rooney is fit though which is nice.

United XI: De Gea, McNair, Smalling, Rojo, Valencia, Carrick, Fellaini, Young, Mata, Rooney, van Persie

subs: Lindegaard, Evans, Herrera, Fletcher, Januzaj, Wilson, Falcao

Not enough creatively in the middle to really get through the Southampton midfield for me

Personally would have put Herrera in there instead of RvP

-edit was kind of hoping Rafael would at least get on the sub bench - as he is meant to be back in training.
