Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6 - 8th April 2013]

Remy's goal was such a lovely take, but he may not have been on the pitch had he been shown a red for his terrible tackle. QPR have been down for weeks now. Oh how lovely it would be to see Stoke get dragged in, but unfortunately there are many more teams worse.

Scared the living day lights out of my son when Cisse scored poor lad, but Ahem me, that was the most important goal of our season. Little bit of breathing space now and pressure off for the derby. Next two games should have a little bit of enjoyment about them rather than all worry and stress.

This season has been diabolical mind, just hope the decent run in Europe doesn't cloud the boards judgement on where Pardew is taking us and they make the right call in the summer.

+1

Is that the third game this season where Cisse has scored in injury time to win it?

Does my nerves no good at all!

Imagined hrs worried the board may knee jerk Pardew out the door.

I doubt that though, as long as they stay up it seems Cashley and Pardew have a good relationship and I haven't seen any fans on his back so there's no reason at all.

Got to put things into perspective.

Had one amazing season at times fighting for 4 place for most of the season.

Had 1 average season poor a lot. Squad Ravaged by injury with a lot more games to play because of Europe.
We could end up finishing up mid table and we having a very good cup run.

Think I said all along the board failed in the summer.

For the most part, we haven't. This is what is confusing me. Most of our mistakes tend to come when we're in the lead of a game and we go into a blind panic, lose our shape and discipline and the inevitable goal comes. Thankfully our attack is actually quite strong and we won't keep a clean sheet so we're going to need to probably score 3 a game to have a chance of winning.

It's owing to a lack of leadership and experience on the pitch.

Inevitably when we've been leading in the first half, or during the early stages of the second half, we've sat deep to try to protect our lead and the opposition have pushed forward, increased their attacking focus, put more pressure on us which has led to mistakes and goals. Inevitable. When you're losing, you chase the game. It' s football.

We've not taken the initiative enough to put games to bed.

Nothing to do with fitness, it's inexperience.

We've got a clutch of players from outside the Premier league playing regularly, mistakes will happen. And mistakes will ALWAYS happen when Baker and Bennett play.

#MCFC team v #MUFC: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Clichy, Barry, Y Toure, Milner, Silva, Nasri, Tevez

#MUFC vs #MCFC: De Gea; Rafael, Rio, Jones, Evra; Young, Carrick, Giggs, Welbeck; Rooney, RVP

MU subs:
Lindegaard, Valencia, Hernandez, Nani, Cleverley, Kagawa, Buttner

EDIT: Woah there nelly, done by a false team. Looks more like the expected team. I'll change my 'Ack, Jones...' to 'OH **** Giggs CM'.

Ack, Jones....

Glad Rooney, Raf & Vida are back, though.
