Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6 - 8th April 2013]

It's crazy how technically brilliant City are but so far behind Man U in the league. Mancini needs to sort it out for next season.

It's mancini they need to get rid of. They should have pushed on this year with the squad they have. Yet he's moaning about not signing more players and that's why they lost the league. I liked him initially and gave him a chance but he's a joke. With that squad there's no way Fergie or a Jose would have lost the title this year. Hell even 2013 wenger would have wrapped it up.

Luckily for him City fans are still in the period of daydream where they are just thankfull after the Peter Reid, Frank Clark, Alan Ball, stuart Pearce and co. They have set high targets with players, it's time they did the same with the manager and cast aside the dead weight.

So being at the top means we can't talk about the negatives? Well you lot are in the top division of one of the best leagues in the world so you can't be negative.

In fact only the statistically worst team in the world is allowed to be negative. And even then they could be dead so they shouldn't.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::o:o:o:o:o:o

Seriously wtf??? u barely lost and u lost to an amazing goal and are still 12 points ahead with 7 games to go and your moaning as if united got totaly destroyed, never turned up, lost to sloppy defending and are no longer 1st in the league.

pathetic tbh

Oh you're back are ya, thought we'd got rid of you for good :(

Small clubs have different ambitions and standards they expect from their team.

A **** performance is a **** performance, regardless of league position.

It wasnt a **** performance. get over it. Was u playing some relegated bottom of the table team? No u was playing city, a team that has a better squad then u and if push comes to shove, if both united and city were playing at there absolute best, city would win 9/10 encounters.

No credit whatsoever for city and all moaning how poor united are. jesus.

You are amusing.

It was a **** performance.

No they don't have a better squad than us. And it's quite funny to say they'd win 9/10 encounters.

Please, tell me when you'd give Spurs credit. Crawl back into your hole please. You only come in here just to be a WUM, as do quite a lot of other posters, but it's alright, WUMs out number people here and the mods don't mind.

So let me get this straight, a WUM is someone that disagrees with u?

yup ok i am a 1st class WUM because i do not share your opinion..

Getting rid of Mancini won't help at all.
Yes he makes mistakes and some substitutions are odd some times but that is the case with every manager.
I agree that he shouldn't be blaming it on not signing X, Y and Z but we have suffered plenty of injuries and a loss of form because of injuries and suspensions and that has really harmed our title chances, Mancini had a poor relationship with Marwood and who knows what transfer dealings what was expected and didn't happen which is why Mancini is going on about it.

Either way Mancini will be given another year so we will see next season. Failure to get out of the CL will be curtains for him though.

Back to the game I think we played well, created plenty and dominated the game overall bar a few periods. Superb goal from Aguero sealed and deservedly so imo.

I seriously hope what Fergie has just said was for the cameras and that's not what he seriously thinks

Let me guess, good performance, unlucky, deserved more, my subs were masterful, Operation Welbeck is coming on nicely....

...it was Nani's fault.

Edit:

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson: "It wasn't a bad performance by us, so I'm not disappointed in that respect. I'm disappointed with the goals we gave away.

"I think we were unlucky to lose the game. But it is easy to see why these were the best two teams in the country - the evidence was there tonight."

He's having a laugh.

Bucket, calm down.

I'm totally calm, Andy.

As I said, WUMs outnumber everyone 10-1, but it doesn't matter that any form of decent football conversation usually ends up down the drain because of it, because it's what The Football Stadium is all about!

Can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Sorry, forgot my smileys. :D:o:(:eek::confused::):mad::rolleyes::cool:;):p

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson: "It was very intense game, very competitive with two of the best teams in the country. I thought we were the better team in the second half, but we know Sergio Aguero is a fantastic finisher and we gave him a lot of room for (the winner).

"I was pleased with the second-half performance. There were a lot of plus sides. Robin van Persie was fantastic today, and Wayne Rooney got some time on the pitch after coming back.

"We won't be complacent. If you look at the history of this club over the years we always make it difficult for us. The supporters are hanging on the edge of their seats every year. It is a 12 point lead, we go to Stoke at the weekend and we will have a go."

It's April Fool - oh wait...

3 defeats, 1 draw (at home) and 2 wins (against two teams residing in the bottom 4) - that's our current form based on the last 6 fixtures, it's as pathetic as jonneymendoza :o
