Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 11th April 2012]

Whats he done better than any other flash in the pan promoted team this year?

When he has Norwich in 9th position NEXT season, we can start saying what a great job he is doing.

Two decades ago Norwich mounted TWO title challenges in the space of 3 years.

Its not as if he's taken Ipswich Town to 5th place or anything just yet is it?

9th isn't to be scoffed at, at all, but to be honest both the points difference between 17th and 9th, and the quality of teams is very close. Almost any team could have a good season and come 9th and a poor season and get relegated. Arsenal ARE having a poor season, and we should still scrape 4th, Liverpool are having a poor season and are still top half.

There is a monumental gap between top 6, and 9th, a much bigger gap(in terms of quality consistency) between 6th and 9th, than 9th and 17th.

Norwich are doing well, Newcastle are doing well, its very hard to see who is doing better, but another season gives a much clearer picture, Newcastle 5th twice in a row vs Norwich 9th one year and relegated the next.

Anyway, hope Herd is alright, looked nasty and the way he reacted, he was fighting his team mates and the medical staff for a good few minutes to get off the ground. He clearly had no idea what was going on, completely out of it, somehow that always looks more worrying than someone just being knocked out.

None of the teams around Brighton won today. We really have to make it count in a tough game tomorrow if we want to stay in contention for play-offs. It is all set up for a Brighton win tomorrow now though.
