Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 11th April 2012]

Have a word with yourself Dalglish was in front of the Sky camera's to give an interview, for him to just ignore the Burton's question and go and shake someone else's hand was unprofessional and disrespectful to the extreme. Dalglish obviously has a serious problem with Andy Burton, that's fair enough just make it clear you wont be part of any interviews with him if that's the case because all Dalglish has done tonight is showed yet again what a horrible little **** of a man he is and to top it off he's a **** manager as well

maybe he should just refuse to talk to them or send an under monkey out then that wouldn't be rude, would it ?

Since your the only BBurn fan here what are your thoughts on Dalglish?

Now and when he was your manager.

Well, he obviously did a great job for us back when a single owner literally could back a team to have a chance to win the league. No complaints there.

As for how he's doing now... I think he's doing alright. He seems to come under fire quite a bit week to week on Talksport with fans saying he should go etc, which I think is a bit harsh personally considering where Liverpool were when he took over.

Getting £50 million for Torres was a masterclass in mugging a team over ;) however although I feel he's spent quite well in some areas, he's been mugged himself in others (Carroll being the obvious one, but I can't say i'm a huge admirer of Charlie Adams' ability either)

All in all ... I think he's doing an OK job personally. Next season will be the real litmus test.

No it wouldn't be rude at all (I sense you were trying to be sarcastic but failed). Like I said if Dalglish doesn't like Andy Burton refuse to speak to him or send Clarke out in his place, he's done nothing but embarrass himself yet again tonight.

I think you've been a bit too kind with him, he has signed well in Henderson but then completely mismanaged him and Bellamy and Enrique.

Considering how he had us playing at the end of last season we haven't been close to that form I'd say over any 6 game period this year at all and we have in fact gone backwards in respects since the start of summer.

But yes, we shall see if he gets next season.

As a question how often do mods get RTMs? There are quite a few borderline posts that never seem dealt with and it'd be nice if they could PM the person as to why they aren't dealing with them.

I'll not post any examples as that may get my post deleted or something.

Well the Reading forums are full of praise for you lot tonight and we all feel very lucky to have come away with a win. If you play like that against West Ham you will beat them with ease. :)

Oh we play some very nice football, we just desperately need a consistent goalscorer. Mackail-Smith tries his heart out, but just hasn't scored enough. Earlier in the season it looked like we were gonna be a one-man team, but he really hasn't come off(though I still think he is great).

We are basically The Championships version of Arsenal, but swap Van Persie for Suarez(in the sense that he works really hard, and does score, but not nearly enough).

...

Your manager held a series of press conferences in a pub next to Celtic Park, so convinced was he that the Scottish media were out to misrepresent him.

I'm not doubting that Dalglish has a serious problem with the media. He openly admitted he doesn't trust the press when he was manager of Liverpool first time around.

I do however find it funny that you (and Tom) seem to have such a big issue with him when the manager of your own club, at the very least, is just as bad. For you to actually quote something Fergie said in your post was the cherry on the cake.

Re RTMs

we get them immediately, dealt with when we see them/get chance

we don't have time to reply to them all, none are ignored

now back to football stuff please

Fair comment, it seems quite a few Liverpool fans are of the same impression. It's fair to say you'll be in a better position than me to judge his performance this season, i'm very much on the outside looking in.

I never said Fergie wasn't bad but it doesn't make what he said any less appropriate.

Anyway, think I've had enough of this sub-forum, total waste of time recently.

Sorry Baz but you're very wrong, how many times have people who support various different clubs (not just United) brought up Dalglish's attitude towards Sky in the 18 months he's been back? During that same time has anyone brought up anything Fergie has said?

Fergie's had runs ins with the media (almost always the written media it has to be said) over his 25+ years at United of course he has but it's a bimonthly thing with Dalglish. Again if he doesn't like Andy Burton there's a really simple answer to it refuse to speak to him, he's doing the club no favours going out month after month treating the man with utter contempt.

Fergie used to be terrible, especially around the time the rivalry with Arsenal was at its height, but now he has calmed down a lot and I think he talks sense 99% of them time. Kenny has gone in completely the opposite direction to bat**** mental.

I just think he is having a laugh at their expense, it's very funny really

There's definitely something more to it when it comes to Burton. In his post-match interview after the Wolves match shortly after taking over he tore Burton to bits and he's always extra awkward when Burton interviews him.
