Bale is an interesting one. He has admitted he goes down easily in two circumstances

1) when there is contact and he is in a game where he is being consistently fouled to stop him playing
2) when he is in full flight he falls over easily in order to protect himself from injury I.e. contact is minimised if he dives over the leg rather than runs through it.

Yesterday was an example of the latter. The angle from behind shows the huge flinch he does in anticipation of a 6ft goalie barrelling towards him in an attempt not to get floored. Additionally, he didn't get up demanding a foul or look for a free kick.

Whether you accept that he should be allowed to take a tumble in order to minimize contact when he is sprinting is up to each individual.

I see Bale going over easily but he doesn't do it in the box and he is generally smashed about a fair bit. He also doesn't role around unless he is hurt. I personally completely accept his right to protect himself from a high speed impact which could really hurt him .

What about us last year where he launched himself into the air past Agger, would've done less harm taking a foul if Agger was actually going to make contact

Ask Matthew Upson if he has any, you know with Huth punching him in the face during a game....or did Upson walk into his fist ?

Either way, im sure Upson dived and deserved it.

The stick Suarez gets is laughable, especially on this forum. He is kicked week in week out and no one says a word, he dives and people are baying for blood but seemingly ignoring some disgraceful challenges by Stoke in the same game.

No. You're correct as per Shami, Robert Huth is the embodiement of a fair and honest footballer, who would never ever dream of doing anything 'unfair' or 'dirty'

In fact, you can say that about all of the Stoke team, utterly fair and honest footballers, would not dream of hurting a fellow professional.

Players wear shinpads for a reason.

There is no way on earth some of these players pain thresholds are that low that a little jab at the shins whilst wearing shinpads warrants the reactions some players give.

You only had to watch El Classico last night to see some of the absolute worst in the game!

Pepe, who is a big lad, has to be one of the biggest poofs in the sport jesus he went down as if he had just been scythed down - by an actual scythe.

The point is, since day one before Suarez was even in the PL he had a reputation for diving. He has done himself no favours, for the fact is there are SO many times where he has blatantly dived that referees, quite understandably, aren't sure what to do with him and so air on the side of caution.

Even the most blinkered of Liverpool fans must be able to see this?

I dont condone the stamp by Huth, at all but my earlier point still stands.

That's really funny.

Last nights Classico was one of the best games I've seen for ages, it was made better by the total lack of diving and cheating. Both sides just wanted to play football and attack last night.

Why don't you actually watch football instead of making sweeping generalizations?
 
Suarez's and Bales dives were pathetic and hilarious in equal measure.

Robert Huth and Robin VP should both be punished for their off the ball antics.
 
Also; I want to ask Tony Pulis, that wonderful football genuis, if he supports retroactively punishing players for off the ball incidents, or is it just those divers he wants punished?

So you completely missed the fact Pepe was down for around 2 minutes after barely being touched?

I never said it wasn't a good game, It really was. Perhaps you should read the entirety of my thread before making yourself look a fool, again.

ONE DIVE. OMG THEY'RE ALL AT IT, THOSE DIRTY CHEATING FPREIGNERS. DON'T GET ENGLISH PLAYERS DOIN' THAT HERRRP DERRRP.

Seriously. Last nights Classico was one of the best games I've seen for ages, in part because of the total lack of diving and cheating throughout the game. If you're going to get your knickers in a twist over Pepe not getting up quickly enough. Then I'm over the moon for you.

Do people's bums get jealous at the amount of crap that spouts from their mouth?
 
There is at least one dive + people staying down pretending they are hurt in every single game of English football, in fact you could probably stretch it to two dives and a lot of people pretending to be hurt.
 
Also; if we are saying that Pepe last night (who was actually caught by the attacker) is the worst in the game, then what is Bale's and Suarez's? They weren't actually caught by a player?

OFF THE CHARTS LEVELS OF CHEATING RICHARD.
