With Arsenal there are two options, choke early or do great, invite pressure, choke late season. I wouldn't be surprised if they choke early season. They play great when the pressure isn't really on, when it is, they go to crap. If they are 25 points off the lead after 2 months they'll be epic to the end of the season because there is zero expectation they can catch and win it, the pressure is off.

This year everyone is talking about them genuinely being competitive and people were less seriously suggesting it last year also after buying Sanchez and Wel(o)lbeck.

People forget the early season, focus on the end of the season talking up our form, additions to the squad and people predicting they might win the league(not that many but more than the past 5 years). This is the kind of thing that usually causes us to suck. There is no real pressure in the CL till the knockout stages where again, we utterly disappear.
