Do they, from that far? It's a bit like people thinking Ronaldo is good at free kicks and he scores one a season, or something.

It's only the second or third he's scored like that. People just remember them because they're special rather than the norm like with other players. Hope he keeps it up but there are loads of players that strike the ball more accurately and more often from distance.

Abject performance until the goal but I would've taken a draw before the game started so the win's a massive bonus.
Stoke play better football under Hughes but better football often comes at a price so it'll be interesting to see how the other top teams fair against them this season. Could be a fantastic result for us in a few weeks or it might become the norm.
Edit: Did think we looked a lot more solid in defence today but that may have been a result of nerfing the attack which I don't mind one bit.

Slow game and if it wasn't for a moment of magic by countinho we would have drew, Rodgers left it far too late to bring on firminho I was also surprised Benteke did the entire match thought ings may of got a run out. gomez did okay but we still need a left back

Our "awful" performance yesterday isn't looking too bad now, a win against the strongest opposition of all the sides in and around the top 4 so far (with a lot of new players, keeper, etc, no less).
We need more exciting/fast/creative players though, unless the manager is stunting creativity for possession, which is a potential major concern.
