Average, some ropey decisions. Most of Stokes joy came down our left though.

The lying thing, I assume your talking about Pearce's bit in the echo a week or so ago? If he was 1st choice LCB, would he not have partnered Skrtel more in pre-season?

No I'm talking about why he wasn't there today, what did Pearce say? If he isn't first choice then that's that, I don't agree with it but that'd be no reason to lie about why he wasn't there today, he wasn't there today because of what was mentioned, I doubt Sakho would just go along with him lying

Why don't Barca get to play at home vs. Real? That's ****ed up.

What about Atletico, Valencia, Sevilla and Bilbao? Terrible picture, basically.

If there was anything in it RAWK would've gone apocalyptic. Had baby > close thread.

What you're essentially trying to do is teach physics to a cat. It won't understand because it's a cat.

I know I'm wasting my time but just average, really? Stoke clearly tried to target Gomez down our left and were therefore always going to have some joy down that side but Gomez and Lovren in particular played very well. And not just well by last seasons standards. He won his battles, made a lot of clearances in potentially dangerous areas and was always willing to step into the vacant central midfield area that a Henderson/Milner CM pairing was always going to leave.

Whether he can continue that form into the season only time will tell but he undoubtedly played well today.

Didn't realise how close Buckland was to saving that. Almost dived a fraction too early and got his hand underneath the ball rather than his finger tips to the ball.

Yes it was an average defensive performance, the trouble with Lovren is that anything remotely average will be hailed as a master class as he was abjectively ****ing useless last year.

If you think it was anything better than normal, then God help you.

I get the sense that Lovren could be man of the match every game and you'd still moan about him and Rodgers for picking him.

For what it's worth, Lovren won every aerial dual he had and made double the amount of clearances than any of player on the pitch. whoscored ranked him, marginally, 2nd only to Coutinho.

Sure DM rang into yalksport ranting about how arsenal only perform well when there's no pressure. He spoke in circles and took about 10 minutes to make his points I pretty certain it was DM.

Did he mention how rubbish Wenger is, how eboue is a god and how poor Walcott is... Then maybe it was... :p

Not a great start to the season but it's one in 38. Let's hope we do better next week.

I despise Colback. Such a nothing player.

Couldn't agree more! I keep saying this.

Although fair play to him near the end where he saved our beans, but apart from that he seems to vanish from games, and rarely plays a positive pass.

He did say Walcott wasn't worth 140k and was an injury prone waste of space. Own up DM :p

I've literally never once listened to a post football game radio/podcast type talk show, ever, for even a second so most certainly wouldn't phone in to one.

I tend to think almost all Arsenal fans with a bit of common sense would dislike Wenger and think Walcott was overpaid at this point, so the odds it was me is probably something like 60 mil to 1.
