Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th - 11th December 2018]

He's never been any good, I don't understand the hype around him at all. City need to get Aguero back ASAP, same for De Bruyne.

As Saturday's go, this hasn't been a bad one. We were quietly brilliant earlier today. I know they lost all 3 but Bournemouth were the better side and could have beat both Utd and Arsenal, and caused City a lot of problems too but we never gave them a sniff and bossed the game from start to finish. Really didn't fancy Chelsea to get anything out of this game and given the way the gam was going until Kante scored, it looked like they were going to get battered. They couldn't get out of their half and it was a miracle that they weren't behind. Second half they were much better though and exposed City on the break at times too.
jesus is so poor this year. they wasted a sub bringing him on

Not sure that he's never been any good. I remember when he first arrived at City and he looked electric and you could see why people were comparing him to original Ronaldo. He's looked lazy and disinterested since the middle of last season though.

Pep looked a bit annoyed with one of the Chelsea coaching staff during the post match handshake. Anyone know what it was about. It there history?

I only saw the 2nd half of the late game but Chelsea looked so dross the other day, yet never looked like conceding that 2nd half, just soaked everything up comfortably, bar that howler from the keeper right at the end. The Spurs, United and game today were like that too, quality of performance all over the place (happy to get 7 points from 9 in a 3 games in a week run regardless of how sloppy the team in the last two games).

That red for the Fulham player was ridiculous and thanks to the crazy FA rules because it was 2 bookings, it can't be overturned.

Just seen this on match of the day. Why did they blur their faces out and left the rest of the crowd alone? I get the legal surely as long a they just show the footage and let the viewer form an opinion.

It’s almost like the bbc are protecting the racist scumbags.

Chelsea and Met Police are investing alleged racist abuse against Sterling in the first half of today's game. Here's the clip, you can fairly easily see what the bloke on the far right is saying:

I think I’ve shown my dislike for Chelsea fans more than anyone here but I really can’t see how that’s easy to conclude exactly what he said?

Also incredibly crazy so many seem to care as people would gobble up all the **** about his personal life and be hyper critical of it, despite a young successful white player receiving no where near the same scrutiny. Don’t seem to care unless it was maybe screamed by one bloke, yet thousands harassed him daily before the WC

There is a huge difference between commenting on his golden sink taps and commenting about the colour of his skin. If you can’t tell what that bloke is saying then I’d say watch it again.

Stuff like this shouldn’t have any place anywhere never mind in the UK where I’m quite proud to say we’re one of the least racist countries in the world

Come on, it has nothing to do with protecting them. It's because of a potential legal investigation and because they won't want to broadcast that sort of language.

https://www.instagram.com/sterling7/p/BrKYvF3gH9e/ Convenient timing for Raheem to call out exactly the same thing :). Racism comes in different forms, you don’t have to directly insult someone’s skin colour for the racial motive to be clear.

Also it appears Sterling has confirmed it was racial abuse, I still can’t see it being conclusive from the video but Sterling has confirmed it was so hopefully the guy faces the pain

Also we just had a ******* vote to leave the EU with a massive amount of it fuelled on the dislike for foreigners, the U.K. still has a massive racism problem and it’s nothing to be proud of.

Ban for life that entire section of the crowd. Quite interesting, in a bad way, that we still get people frothing at the mouth so badly at a football match at one of our most talented young English footballers no less.
