Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th - 11th December 2018]

Come on, it has nothing to do with protecting them. It's because of a potential legal investigation and because they won't want to broadcast that sort of language.

Which is what I said, doesn’t mean people have to agree with it.

https://www.instagram.com/sterling7/p/BrKYvF3gH9e/ Convenient timing for Raheem to call out exactly the same thing :). Racism comes in different forms, you don’t have to directly insult someone’s skin colour for the racial motive to be clear.

Also it appears Sterling has confirmed it was racial abuse, I still can’t see it being conclusive from the video but Sterling has confirmed it was so hopefully the guy faces the pain

Also we just had a ******* vote to leave the EU with a massive amount of it fuelled on the dislike for foreigners, the U.K. still has a massive racism problem and it’s nothing to be proud of.

Which sort of confirms my point, anyone would have thought I had read the Sterling post prior to posting my post. UK has a massive racism problem, what are you using as a comparison?

I’m only asking as I’ve been fortunate enough to travel for work and pleasure to quite a few countries. Off the top of my head China, Taiwan, parts of USA and Australia have a far worst problem with racism then we do. This is backed up by friends who come over to the UK commenting on this as well. Sure we have still have a few knuckle heads like the guy at Chelsea but to say we have massive problem I think is inaccurate to say the least.

Be interested to hear your reasons behind your comments. Appreciate its going off track bit :p

Sorry I don't see how it confirms you're point. Yes there is a difference in the language used but fundamentally they are both cases of racism and in fact the articles incite it further and are more dangerous due to the numerous clowns who actually read that stuff and think he's a bad person. Meanwhile white little kid is just helping out his parents :)

I don't need a comparison to see there is a racism problem, I will concede its not as large an issue as the US/China and various other places but its still very clearly a problem. Like I said take brexit for example, large parts driven due to racism/xenophobia. Northern Ireland has a sectarian problem that is much improved from when my parents grew up but its still a massive problem here.

Honestly can't be bothered / I don't think I can even articulate it well enough through text, its a massive issue that isn't visible to a lot of us because we don't experience it and I reckon a lot of this forum is white/not working class

I’ll give you credit for mentioning Northern Ireland I deliberately left that out :o I take your point on it not being visible that’s probably true. Not many things get me annoyed nowadays but stuff like what happened yesterday still does really annoy me. Just don’t get why skin colour is a thing at all.

Edit just read your first paragraph it’s a very good point about that article.

I thought you asked why they blurred them out and that it was almost like they were protecting them

I did but I also said I get the legal side of things but I didn’t agree with it. It’s plain as day what the guy said so why blur his face out.

Probably one of the most embarrassing defeats I’ve ever witnessed, and that’s saying a lot. Even against 10 men Mendes’ feeder club looked awful, then along comes Mike Dean.

I knew it wasn't going to be our night when I found out he was officiating.

I thought we played well, even after going down to 10 men. We definitely didn't deserve to lose.
