Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th - 9th November 2014]

Punditry on MotD is reaching new levels of inanity tonight.

"I think Cesc Fabregas wants to go forward. I don't think defence is his speciality."

"I think goalscoring is a real problem for Leicester."

Thanks, Phil. Some real food for thought there.

Fabregas is pretty good defensively, they played him with a hamstring injury as they thought it was an important game though. They probably should have thought about playing Fabregas in the no.10 and give him less running duties if they were risking him for the game today. But after being told he was carrying a hamstring injury and will now most likely miss the next game it's pretty rich to have a go at a player who was still decent in a tough game without even mentioning it.

The situations he highlighted were also for me not Fabregas's fault. Players close and other players slot in, he did it himself multiple times in that game, the situations he highlighted like Mirallas scoring against two CB's, it wouldn't even be Fabregas's job to jump and get in their way(they showed an old example for no real reason), then the situations from this game he was out wide so the guy behind him should have moved across then Matic sold himself too easily. In one situation he over committed but, that happens. He's certainly not poor defensively. Phil Neville is in every way the Danny Devito to Gary's Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Well since she is okay

That ball hitting the girl is hilarious:p

Not sure how today goes, I know this is pretty obvious but it depends of we turn up. Could see us winning as we are better than them but they are good at home so if we aren't on our game we'll be comfortably beaten.

Give it a good go, another win would be immense.

Omg that's a cracking gif lmao. The YouTube vids are full of people debating whether or not it's funny or unfortunate. There's no debate: it's both!

It's the arms sticking up in the afterwards like a dead bird that is the cherry on the top. :D

Hope someone beat her dad up though... "uh oh, must protect my lipstick!"

My instinct would be to protect my child, can't believe them 'men' corward like a bunch of pansies and let the little girl get sparked out lol.

You should go to a Ice hockey game and realise you're sitting with your head at a higher level than the glass protects, that's unnerving when one comes your way :D

i would usually find something like this hilarious but i don't on this occassion, i find it pretty awful for some reason, even though it's apparent she's fine. i think it's the fact no one even attempts to stop it.

actually someone does make a limp wristed attempt to deflect it upon another view.

Mourinho cracked our zonal coverage system. Every corner they attempted was the same. Draw a crowd deep past the far post and head it back into the area. He predicted that half our team would get sucked towards the ball. I'm surprised they didn't score more from corners, since every other one looked like this picture.

Sad how true this looks watching some of the match again, I wonder will any adjustments be made, conceding one set piece per game
