Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9th - 13th April 2016]

I thought this was interesting after seeing it on the Daily Fail.

The possible outcomes for each club

Chelski or Stoke in Champs League  ;)

It's a bit mad to think Everton have just reached 40 points.

Pellegrini to Everton in the summer? I'd certainly be trying to wangle him over to Goodison. He'd have a good squad to work with.

No thanks the form and consistency he's managed with the best resources in the league I'd rather not. I think moyes will be back on the summer. Clearly Martinez is losing the dressing room when someone as quiet and timid as baines speaks out. He's going to lose us any player of worth. If Martinez isn't sacked at the end of the season I will be amazed. No one has failed harder than him this season.

And he won't have a good squad, the good ones will be leaving. Another rebuilding after this chimp has turned us into Wigan.

What if Pellegrini goes and wins the Champions league though?

Congratulations, his league form is **** and that's what matters to Everton not winning the cl with the best funded team in the league. City should win the league or be second every single year. He's done well in Europe this year, but terrible in the league. I don't think we need to worry about Europe.

He was rather shot in the back by the City management / Pep announcement so early, nothing really he could have done about it. If the players he knows dont put the effort in on Sat /Sun, whats he meant to do play the U21 team in an EPL fixture?

He wasn't shot in the back, after the crap he's shovelled out the last 2 seasons despite being well backed it's admirable they have been upfront with him, rather than just denying everything and binning him off at the end of the season. So players not putting the effort in is not his fault? So you would say the same for Jose at Chelsea and LVG at United? What is LVG to do if he's players are not running their heart out for united.

It's his job to motivate them or they find someone who can. He clearly hasn't been able to do that since winning the title so they quite rightly move him on. They should have won the title in 2014-15 and 15-16. Regardless of giving him notice he wasn't capable of making that happen.

Probably doesn't help that he was signed duds at CB and Kompany has had an awful season in terms of injuries. The stats on goals conceded per game with Kompany vs without him are remarkable. And KDB's injury came at a bad time.

He has a star studded well funded team at his finger tips, if he can't find a way past opposition such as Leicester then get someone in that can. Maybe Everton would be more suited to his level.
