Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [Sunday 13th May 2012]

Well done to QPR for staying up, I would have preferred Bolton to stay up tbh, as QPR have been awful recently

Awful recently? What are you on about? Winning half of our last 10 games is not 'awful' and is a run that kept us out of the Championship. If a team went and won half of their games all season then it would be 60 points even if the other half of games were losses.

QPR had easily the hardest run in of all the relegation candidates and were written off by most pundits yet still survived and with wins against Liverpool (after being 2-0 down), Arsenal and Spurs.

Awful recently lol.

I watched them a fair few times recently and have been unimpressed on most occasions, though they played well against Spurs and Liverpool iirc. I have seen them offer nothing in quite a few games though, Chelsea and another game where they really needed something and underperformed(might have been West Brom...or Villa?).

Oh and my judgment of "recently" is probably much different to everyone elses, as I was off work for two months and completely lost track of time!

PS What is your view of Joey Barton?

With the amount of money that QPR have spent on transfers and wages, I would expect them to get 60 points rather than almost being relegated.. It is a tough call between QPR and Liverpool for biggest underachievers of the year...

And on the form of the last 10 games 60 points will be more achievable. Given the amount of suspensions and red cards in those last games as well then I feel a lot more confident about next season.

I'd still argue spurs didn't bottle it , we only played badly against Norwich. We deserved something against man u at WHL.

Still a superb season and such a dramatic end , nt sure which was mre dramatic this season or when the Gooners beat 'pool in the last kick of the game

Go Swansea
fantastic job , playing good football on a fixed budget and staying in the the top flight
Now to consolidate next season :)

Only just seen a proper replay of the Benny goal for us, lol, Arsenal stupid lucky today, the first and third goals for us were laughably awful keeping errors, the first truly, epically terrible and the last pretty awful.

As for rewatching the City game, can't take it, long day, crazy day, brilliant day, amazing day.

Did Joey Barton actually post that on twitter? What an utter disgrace. Should never play again. Also obviously annoyed City won the title but Kompany is such a great bloke. Also:

Of course Spurs bottled it, 10 points ahead and 2 - 0 up and we ended up ahead of you, and we are average. Shame on Spurs.

After we battered you silly in that second half your run of form was relegation worthy, we rattled you big time.

An Arsenal fan talking about an opposing team bottling it :D
