Greenlizard0 Weekend (mid-week) Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29 - 30th January 2013]

City are rubbish this season and Man U have played the better teams away already (won most of them too).

Easy title.

We're still to go to Arry's QPR as well, got a tough away game at Fulham this weekend as well (even more so after battering them last weekend)

Thank **** for that.

Safely say its not us playing any better, it was how **** Villa were.

Good 3 points but things aren't really looking up especially with Pardèú and his bull.

I don't think watching newcastle is good for my health!!!

Based on the first half I would disagree, I think we looked a lot stronger. What happened during half time is anyone's guess but it was a different team that walked out for the second half – The team that has been playing in black and white for most of this season!

Meh, I might though.

:(

We've got Southampton at home tomorrow night and Liverpool travel to face Man City this weekend so two good results in our next two games could see us looking good but not overly certain of the title. We've a game in hand on City who've still got to travel to Old Trafford so whilst it's not over yet, I think it is looking good. The sooner we can restore a 7 point lead the better, hopefully tomorrow night! Liverpool might be able to get a draw on the weekend and if we can beat Fulham then we're talking 9 points with City having 13 games left to do something.

Once again Tony Pulis show just what an inept Muppet he is when it comes to substitutions. Takes two of the best performing players on the pitch off and throws away the points again.

The sooner Coates wakes up and sees that Pulis has reached the peak of his management skills the better.

I dont see Liverpool being able to do anything away to City unfortunately
I can't see them getting three points but they might be able to earn a draw. :) As long as we can see Southampton and Fulham off we're talking a lead of 7 points left with 13 games left for City to do something. So unless we implode big time, again, I'll be cautiously happy come Saturday evening. ;)

villa are in big trouble now. no new signings this window and a clueless manager. you'll only escape the drop if other teams balls up.

Agree. I was a half chance away from a heart attack.

For the first half we were good I would agree. But we need to play for 90mins and I can only assume its Pardèú and his desire to defend deep as soon as we score which is to blame. We were dominating and they wernt in the game but we come out and instead play hoofball to Bambi whilst camped on our area, it's unreal. We were a few bits of luck away from Reading game all over again. The more I see of Pardèú the more sure I am he is ****, he cannot cope with adversity and is useless worth his subs and tactics when under some pressure.

But anyway we won :D onward to the Chelski game and see what happens.

Oh and just want to say, if Pardèú comes out with some gushing speech like we have just won a cup (like he did when we beat a poor Wigan side) I will kill him myself and solve all our problems :p

Not sure how he is clueless?

the league position should give the biggest clue. the phrase ''the table never lies'' isn't always true but it is in villas case. they're a mess. poor selections, low morale, shipped out senior players and no new players in this window.

Villa have been a sinking ship long before this season, Lambert's biggest mistake was taking the job in the first place (especially after the amazing job he did at Norwich)

I think that's the title done and dusted.

Yep I said that a week or so ago, I got laughed at.

City are rubbish this season and Man U have played the better teams away already (won most of them too).

Exactly, this is nothing like the same side as last year. Mancini has ****ed up every thing that was good about them last season. He's the biggest change they need to make now. Manu fans know they realistically have no competition this year but don't want to admit it through jinxing it.

The season will be over before the last month. City should have kicked on for years, but Mancini is hauling them back.

So that makes Lambert clueless :D
