I think we may have found the reason for your very odd and extreme views then.
1. Most of the Greta supporters are probably doing sweat FA, or no more than the rest of us, to combat climate change.
2. The people who can't stand the promotion of Greta might well be concerned about climate change and doing something about it. They are not mutually exclusive.
These days it much (much) more important to be vocal about something, or fawn over some celebrity, than actually do anything meaningful, esp if that means giving up something you like (like going for a long drive for no reason or getting a cheap weekend break to Europe on a £30 flight on a whim).
We live in extremely superficial and hypocritical times.
Don't you think the female version of HAL - the Red Queen, is a closer role model.

She did a great interview on BBC News on a Sunday a few weeks ago.
Anyway since she's going to College she won't have a lot of time for this so hopes others will take over.

Yeah, you're totally right. Just because I can't stand the way she, and us (including you and me) are being used by others to further their own agenda it must mean that I hate the environment and don't believe in climate change. Yep, you got me there.
