Greta Thunberg

Give the girl a break, she's done well enough for herself given she has fetal alcohol syndrome
Personal attacks are all the rage when it comes to criticising 16-year-old climate change activist Greta Thunberg but none is more objectionable than the cluster of memes that claim the teen has fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) – a spectrum of disorders that can include the development of distinct facial features after being exposed to alcohol in the womb.

Evidence for this is lacking and amounts to nothing more than a cruel armchair expert’s comparison between the girl’s face and supposed FAS diagrams.

Aside from the obvious observation that Greta looks a lot like her father, the truth of the claim, insofar that it is seriously made, is not important nor anybody’s business. In fact, the meme says more about those sharing it and the level of public discourse than it does about the activist herself.
Grim indeed

I think she is somehow reserved, not fully honest and knows things that she should share but doesn't.

It's like she blames the society but she herself doesn't put enough efforts to achieve the things which she talks about...

The reason we had the "You stole our childhood" speech was because she was invited to many Climate meetings in front of world leaders, gave many talks but nothing had happened and that's why she lost her temper.
She was trying but nobody listened.

Politicians and corporations are not going to listen until there is some money in it for them. Going green needs to be profitable, but right now it's much more expensive.

From all the times I've seen her speak, she is incapable of satire or any kind of humor. Whether that is a result of her autism remains to be seen
I'm autistic whilst reserved I am capable of expressing emotions.
I can crack a joke, make a pun, dark humour and satire totally floats my boat.

A good comedian will see me crying with laughter.

most autistic people basically come across as reserved and shy, it takes time for them to build trust and show the true self.

but with greta I think it's something else.

Not all autistic people speak monotone either, but often pronounce words wrongly

BTW for Autistic people it is known that any area of interest they have becomes an obsessive focus and we can become extremely knowledgeable on a topic that peaks our interest in a short amount of time

greta seems just as clueless as when she started

Anthony Hopkins is on the autistic spectrum btw! we aren't all *****!
In interviews in 2017, Hopkins said he had received a late-in-life diagnosis of Asperger’s, a condition that affects social interaction and is on the higher-functioning end of the autism spectrum. He has said he thinks being on the spectrum made him “a loner.”

That's false. Green hasn't been scaled yet to full size in order to say how much it costs.

And you don't calculate in your bill all the damages that you do on the environment, all the natural disasters that follow your actions.

Go on, I double doffer you, just give her a bit of credit.
Greta will claim credit for all the oil industries changing to renewables even though it was covid and the price of oil that forced them to replan

also green energy only just became properly viable with electrolysis expected to produce hydrogen for 1usd in the very near future rather than 2.5 or whatever it is now.

Batteries still to expensive for energy storage, hydrogen becomes that storage.
wind/sun doesn't give power when it's actually at it's peak so a lot of energy is currently wasted

When hell freezes over but Greta says that ain’t happening

watch this space, I can feel a chill coming.

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.

As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities:

  1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
  2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over. So which is it?
If we accept the postulate given to me by Claudia during my first year, "...that it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you", and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in sleeping with her, then #2 above cannot be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and will not freeze over.

I'm sorry I don't keep up to date on the all the various syndromes she may or may not be suffering from.

She's put herself in the public gaze and I just comment on what I see.

If she's autistic or whatever that still doesn't mean she gets to say whatever she wants consequence free; or worse, that you can only ever praise her ("so brave") and any and all criticism will be batted away ("despicable attack on an autistic child, so brave").

We're well used to this kind of tactic now, and frankly it's boring. She can say what she wants; I don't have to agree and I won't be "shamed" into towing the line. Autist or not. Thanks.
