I've spent maybe 30 minutes on the game so far and I've gotta say It's really disappointing. I like racing sims and previously I've only ever played Forza, PGR and GRID to completion. GRID 2 just seems such as step back from GRID in both terms of graphical, sound and overall just feel. The vehicles seem to handle far too easy (I've been using a controller) and the graphics seem to be a step back from GRID. Although I'm not sure if my fond memories of it are over exaggerating what I remember of the game; the sound is really lack luster too. Honestly I'll be surprised if I put another 30 minutes into playing it. For now I think sticking to Dirt 3 is the best bet and hopefully Project Cars is the way forward.

Thanks for the suspension . What do you guys think of grid 2?. I at first was enjoying it and said it was brilliant. But the more ive played it over the last 2 weeks, I have to say im a little dissapointed with it. There just isnt enough of a gap between grid and this one. Graphics are better on full 16x. But I don't think the game is any better.

It's not unlocked until Friday in the Uk. You can play using a VPN but I doubt you would do that...

Cheers for that - just what I wanted to know, really. I'm an old skool gamer so to me racing games have always been keyboard-controlled

played it for 1.5 hours yesterday evening. its grid 1 with improved graphics but without cockpit view.

anyone who loved the first one (and who doesn't mind the lack of cockpit) will enjoy it.

I'm not sure i'm a fan of the progression system through the game i.e earning fans etc but i do enjoy the racing part.

The live routes feature is cool as it switches things up and keeps the course changing.

Drifting is still way too easy and even with AI set to the hardest setting they are a breeze to out drift (using manual gears makes it simple as peas)

overall i would give it a 8/10
